It was already dark outside when we were finally free to leave the hospital. The girls had to sign many things and made up all kinds of stories on why there wasn't a medical record for me, Hannah 'Nelson'. They obviously couldn't tell the truth unless they wanted to end up in prison. The hospital parking lot was nearly empty. Just a hand full of cars standing here and there. They guided me through the darkness to Leigh-Anne's car. The latter sat down on the driver's seat, Perrie on the passenger's seat, while Jesy, Jade and I were on the backseat. Since I still was pretty clingy with Jade, I had my arm slung around her belly and she had hers around my shouders. I have no idea what I was thinking! The medication the nurse gave me, maybe? Maybe it's causing me to be affectionate or something? Is that even possible? But whatever the reason was, in that very moment, all I wanted was cuddle with Jade and she didn't seem to mind one bit. "You should sleep for a while," Leigh-Anne looked at me through the rearview mirror, "it's late and you look like you need it!" Geez, in other words, I look horrible. But I just nodded and lied my head down on Jade's shoulder. I couldn't sleep though. Maybe because I basically overslept the whole day in hospital?
The whole ride I was getting occasional looks from my four kidnappers. Every now and then I caught Perrie taking a look over her shoulder, Leigh-Anne glimpsing into the rear view mirror, Jesy only moving her eyes into my direction and felt Jade shifting her head. I didn't understand what exactly they were interested in but I was hoping to arrive at their house as soon as possible in order to stop this staring contest. Unfortunately, London traffic made it hard to drive more than five meters without stopping, even at night. After a while of not moving at all, Perrie groaned, "Guys, I'm hungry! Can we just go to that Diner over there and eat something?" - "Can't you wait until we're home or is this very urgent?" Leigh asked. "I'm starving, Lee Lee! And if we keep going at this pace, we won't be home for another decade!" The darker skinne girl just nodded and made a turn to the Diner Perrie was refering to, as soon as she could. When the car was parked, Jade whispered to me, "Do you feel strong enough to come in with us or do you want me to stay here with you?" - "I'll come in!" I unbuckled my seat belt and Jade helped me out of the car. I was still quite wobbly on my legs so she had her arm around my waist. Jesy who was walking on my left side, chuckled, "How come you like Jade but not us?" - "Who said I liked her? I just don't care at the moment. Probably because I'm high on medication or something." Jade piped in, "So you don't like me?" - "Of course not! You kidnapped me, how do you expect me to ostand you?" It slipped out of my mouth. Jade's grip got tighter before she mumbled, "Be careful what you say, young lady! And remember to not say a word about this, in there! Unless you wanna be in deep trouble that is." I gulped, deciding it would be best to shut up.
We entered the cute little diner a couple of seconds later. The only person I could see was a man in his fourties standing behind the counter. Of course, who would come here at this time? We sat down in a booth in the back. Far enough away from the man so that he could not listen to our conversations. "Guys," Leigh whispered, "he keeps giving us weird glances. What if he read on of the articles about her disapperance?" - "That's impossible! We're in the UK. It didn't even come in the news here and only people, searching the internet for missing individuals in the US would come across it!". "I wouldn't be so sure, Jade!" Leigh-Anne retorted, "he's coming over! Act as natural as possible and don't even think about doing something stupid, Hannah!".
"Hey, how are you doing? I'll be your waiter for tonight. Have you thought about what you guys wanna eat or drink?" Since Perrie was the only one who was hungry, she ordered some kind of burger while we decided to go for some water. The whole time the man was looking as us. Leigh Anne, Jade and I, who had perfect view at him from where we were sitting, noticed when the guy's eyes suddenly widened in realization. He turned around and took his phone out and opened what looked like the internet browser. Leigh slowly got up and made her way towards him. What was she planning on doing? The other three girls were watching after her. They seemed to be nervous. When the dark skinned girl was only a couple of inches behind the guy, who still had no idea what was happening behind him, she carefully took a look around him as if she was trying to see what he was doing on his phone. Seconds later she gave up a panicked glimpse. I could hear Jesy mumble, "Shit!" That's when it hit me. He knew.
