BLOOD

Dr. Anthony Davis has lived a life of discontent despite his riches and degree along with his job as a cardiologist. He never cared to try. If he does, it's for the sake of his patients.

All until an Autumn princess fell onto his hands.

A smug grin formed on my face, my dark cocoa eyes content with my obra maestra upon my feet: A body with its hair separated, stomach bleeding out its guts, and Mr. Allen's little dick cut off.

I placed one last punch on the fucker’s disgusting face before dragging him out to my backyard, zipping him up in a body bag with all the evidence of his pedophilic deeds.

I had to stop myself from ripping up those papers from anger. The evidence is not big, however it's enough to tell the story of this guy's repulsive life.

My Autumn is unfortunate enough to be one of his victims.

I'm content, not satisfied. No amount of torture will make me satisfied.

I took a deep breath as I left my bathroom, my dark hair slicked back as I dressed myself in a black turtleneck and slacks.

I kicked away the mess in my living room to gaze at the window.

It's already morning. Probably four at least.

Too early, but who can wait to see an autumn princess? My Autumn princess.

I kicked away the trash around me, heading out of my villa — A place I inherited from my father, a place I barely take care of, a place I place no worth over.

I don't really care about anything, myself, nor anyone else. The riches that I have, I didn't work for it. How can I place any kind of importance over something I got so easily? Even my degree and job as a cardiologist was brought by money. My mother just has to find a school corrupt enough to let me pass.

I feel sorry for my patients. They see me on a platform so high not knowing they're probably much more intelligent than me. I just have too much money, that's it.

Even so, I'm very glad I became a doctor. It's tiring, yes however, it is through my job that I found the most beautiful jewellery I have ever found. A jewel that money can't afford but I'm willing to steal, to own, forever and ever. No. matter. what.

I left my Mercedes and headed to the hospital, only raising my hand to anyone that greeted me—

I stopped as my friend Nathan came out of the blue to fix my glasses. “Fix up yourself, mate. You're a doctor not a homeless person.”

I laughed. This guy is much younger than me yet he's acting like a dad, fixing my clothes and everything

“I'm trying, fashion just isn't my thing.”

“You're doing great. Your choice of clothing is wonderful, you just gotta learn how to make it neat.”

He patted my back and I finally noticed the massive bags on his eyes. “Gotta go, my shift’s not done yet.”

I let him leave with a remorseful smile on my face.

Poor guy, always the victim of taking over when the night-shift is understaffed.

I wonder if it's all worth it, the money, when you're working almost 24/7.

Nathan would no doubt say yes. I haven't experienced ever being broke.

I headed to the seventh floor. My Autumn's case is not severe, she's breathing well and her heart is still pumping close to normal. I'll make sure she never sees the lights of the ER.
