".. I-it hurts.. mafuyu.."

With her head kept tilted by the side, mafuyu pressed down a towel on the wound, she never even bat an eye and continued to press it against her neck

Kanade hisses with the sharp pain, with tears now prickling her in eyes, shuddering as she tries surpresing the pain on her own,

With most of the blood cleaned by the damp towel she was left with a bruised, bleeding and swollen injury that truly shouldn't be classified as an minor injury, This could be seen as serious, it might cause an infection to break out if not tended early on

It looked like someone sewed a gruesome circle on her neck, skin damaged and turning to the shade of yellow-ish green and purple.

Still mafuyu ponders on what drove her to cause kanade dread. Her expression remained natural, almost as if sanity left her eyes

Right by the side of the sink behind them was two bottles of.. They didn't have a label. But both were full of  a type of pills.

Earlier that afternoon

Mafuyu stood infront of the sink mirror,  there two bottles were present in similar appearances. One were sleeping pills and the other was something unknown she assumed.

Mafuyu had to define which one was which to get her sleeping pills ready for tonight incase she loses her need to rest.

If she were to pull out an all nighter again, potentially Kanade would surely be disappointed. Eyebags appearing below her eyes gave her away always.

She solely out of frustration she accidentally bought two of them from their local drug store after she was caught and scolded for staying the night awake,

By the counter where she'd pay, a staff described both to her in diverse manners. The name? All she knew was that one of the tabs had a mark on front. 'LSD' what was engraved

She forgot how that stiff person described it back in that drug store.. she bought them 1 day ago. The other in the same white was with the words 'AMBs'

How would she even forget? She has been an honered student keeping herself at her ground for years yet, something as simple as a description she couldn't recall bits.

Desperately hidding emotion, pressure from others expecting her at her utterly highest pushed her down the depths of deeper than any other despair and depression.

That made her a good liar to all. Caused her to be a great one, And lived dependently to her mother.

She even bought those medication without kanade's awareness.

After she went home, well- kanade's and her's now shared house she was greeted by a curious kanade, confused and with worry.

Lying as need to again she slips though her suspection. Helping her around, she left the white plastic bag inside a med box in the bathroom, and slept.

she doesn't have her phone at that moment– She couldn't research. And kanade was busy in her room composting, she didn't bother to disturb her.

Despite already being reassured many times before that she could freely ask for help, for her it wasn't the time.

She assumed the one with 'LSD' was the over-the-counter sleeping pills she bought..

She directly took two tabs and drank water washing in down her throat as it was already getting later, She was so focused she forgot about the Time she spent,

After she took them she expected to drift off on the couch but kept shuddering awake to the frequent shouts of kanade,

And thats how they got here

"Mafuyu.." she asks as mafuyu patched up the wound with a pad from the first aid.

"Its done." she nonchalantly replies "Should we go back to bed?" speaking with the same tone while she placed the necessities back into the med kit,

Kanade couldn't help but notice her blantless of course, "Mafuyu.. Are you okay?.." she was relieved now that the pain was subdued. finally pushing herself to sit properlly,

And for a moment reign silence.

...

"No i dont think i am." And what kanade didnt't expect was for her to admit. She reached out and arm pointing at the sink where the bottles from earlier were still present. "I took the wrong one.. I think.." her voice dropped into a mumble yet kanade overheard clearly from the look on her face of confusion.

"W-what.?" Her expression turned darker , sweat downs from forehead, she's starting to overthink.

With regards from her disbeliefed moment. "M-mafuyu y-you took pills?!.." "N-no no how do you take a wrong one?!.." "Even so you bought medication..?!" Her voice shook with utterly confusion further on

"W-what were you trying to take?" She shook both of mafuyu's shoulders trying to calm her self down repeating positive words in her mind

"I-im.." mafuyu felt drowsy. "F-forgive me.."

Though she stayed composed and held the girl's petite waist "M-mafuyu.. Why didn't you.. Y-you.. Tell me??.."

"Mafuyu this could be serious!" Her voice shaken

Mafuyu held her tighter. "Im sorry, im sure it wont be a problem. I care about you more.."

If she cared why did something earlier to her?

"Mafuyu! What did i tell you? Take care of yoursel first!" She jolts. "Y-you... Can't just take.. pills.. What did you ought to even take!?.." Her face in dread and worry.

Mafuyu lowers her head relunclant to respond "a-answer my question please!"

's-sleep..' she mumbles. "S-speak up.. I- i wont be mad i just wanna know.. A-and maybe we can settle this.." Her tone says otherwise

"sleeping pills.." mafuyu finally muttered up her courage, both hearts beating fast, minds going ellsewhere.

"W-why..?" Her voice still shook her hands tremble holding onto mafuyu's shoulders "..you wont be mad once i tell you?.."

"O-of course mafuyu.. I-i.. Ill try.." Mafuyu stares at her anxiously,  "i mean.. I promise?.."

...

That wasn't convincing enough, but mafuyu decides to cope and try not to make things worse.

She took deep breaths.. This would be humiliating.. Once kanade knew she knew she would get an earful from her,

She's just hoping the outcome to not give demons permission to enter her mind..

With all that said her arms around kanade loosen her heart practically beating out of her chest whilst kanade was waiting impatiently, clearly she could see the anger building up inside her eyes.

"I-i.." She was snapped back into reality by her own voice.. Was she really doing this? She could just lie her way out of her, but knowing that made will worsen as said before,

Here goes nothing, "i.. Didn't want to dissapoint you.." Kanade's expression snapped into confusion once more.. "W-what?.. Explain.. Disappointed by what?."

"By me.. Remember.. That time when i.. When you caught me during the night awake?.."

"T-that.. Y-yes i do.. What does it have to do here?.." kanade couldn't understand stand..

"Well..."
