so i drew some of the characters from lotf but it's yeah sorta just eyes BUT it has a lot of meaning

so i'll explain it
if you haven't read the book yet please turn away i beg you you'll probably end up reading it at some point in time
it's so so good
okay now
so idk if you can read it or not in each corner i wrote the characters names
top left is roger bottom left is jack top right is ralph bottom right is simon
so this book is pretty much about a bunch of boys who get trapped on an island with no adults and they have to survive but they think there is a beast with them
ralph is like the protagonist who wants to survive and is the only one who stays sane with piggy and simon sorta samneric
jack is like the antagonist but he wants to have fun but ends up becoming a savage and wants to kill ralph
roger ends up killing another character known as piggy and becoming a physic maniac
all the boys end up killing simon because they thought he was the beast
the book focuses on the characters from the beginning into the end over changing cuz of human nature golding the author describes their eyes and face and having long hair
the boys wear face paint like they are in war it's describes as living in the wild and becoming savages
this takes place during wwii so it also reflects in the adults actions during that time
now to describe why i made each square a certain way
in the beginning of the book Roger was described as quiet and he kept to himself in the end of the book he becomes the most savage person out of all of them he ends up killing piggy he also has a double ended spear and acts like an animal so I made his eyes very dark and he has black hair and since he becomes the most savage I added the most face paint in darkest colors
now for simon Simon was a symbol for religiousness he was a small and quiet kid he seem to be very dumbfounded but really was smart He was very civil like Ralph, but when he wondered off by himself he found what they thought was a beast. It was just a dead body. of an adult and he was so distraught When he ran back to the boys camp they all got so spooked and thought he was the beast when they attacked simon it was described like an animal attack so that's why there's blood and he was described as black hair and darker eyes as well as he was crying, which is kind of sad so that's that
Ralph was described as having attractive features I guess yet they were 12 so yeah he had blue eyes and blonde hair. He was one of the only boys who survived from jack's group and he remained sane he was described as very dirty at the end of the book
he was the original leader for all the boys when they were first stranded he wanted them to get rescued but all Jack wanted to do was hunt and kill a pig he wouldn't help with making a fire to get rescued ralph was described as skillful I could say in the beginning him, and Jack had a very confusing relationship they both wanted to be the leader, but Ralph had a personality that could help everyone
jack was described as having ginger hair and blue eyes, but his blue eyes were so bright and in the end of the book when Jack tries kill ralph and once ralph finds his hiding spot jack isn't too far behind and all ralph can see is the savages eyes, which is Jack's, looking at him, through the crack of the creepers it scares Ralph, because he knows that those eyes were not savage and was his friend
also jack literally sets the whole islands on fire just to find ralph
Jack was the one that started with the face and he had freckles too I forgot to say so he had the red and the black and the red was blood from a pig that the hunters had killed
in the end the boys all realized what they had become pure savages and a lot of emotion, so that's why I wanted to draw this i makes your mind think about people and it makes you question life but it's super important to understand the reality it makes you feel like someone is ripping your stomach out and it makes your eyes feel like they're going to cry. I love it, and I hate it at the same time
anyways i kinda hope you read that because I love Lord of the flies
