RICHIE POV
"Babe, where are we going?" Freeya asked, her arm entwined with mine. The simple gesture sent a thrill through me.
I smiled, my heart already light. "To the park near the overpass. I think you'll love it."
"Hmm… Are we going to count the stars?" Her eyes, bright with playful curiosity, mirrored the twilight.
I chuckled, shaking my head. "No, babe. We're going to watch the stars. It's breathtaking there."
"I'm sure I will, babe. Because you said so," she replied, her voice a soft murmur of trust.
The sweetness of our exchange, the quiet intimacy of shared affection, filled me with a profound happiness. "Yes, but not just because of me. The stars are incredible, and the park is incredibly peaceful. It's a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the quiet."
Freeya's smile widened, her eyes reflecting the gathering starlight. As we approached the park, a figure suddenly darted into the road. I slammed on the brakes, a jolt of adrenaline coursing through me.
"Jesus! Is he trying to kill himself? Wait, babe, let me talk to that guy," I exclaimed, my frustration simmering.
Her hand, gentle yet firm, rested on my arm. "Don't let your anger control you, babe, okay?" Freeya's calm voice was a steadying influence.
"Tsk! It's so infuriating!" The frustration lingered, stubbornly refusing to dissipate.
With a sigh, we left the man be and continued to the park. We parked, the sudden quiet amplifying the unsettling feeling that had begun to creep over me.
"We're here," I said, my voice a low breath.
A wave of inexplicable anxiety washed over me, my heart hammering a frantic rhythm against my ribs. Freeya's concerned gaze pierced my façade of composure.
"Are you okay, babe?" she asked, her voice soft with concern.
"Ah, yes," I forced out, my voice tight. Despite my best intentions for the evening, a deep unease was impossible to ignore. A dark foreboding hung in the air.
"Babe, I'll call Becky. She can meet us here."
Freeya, ever perceptive, embraced me, her warmth a comforting counterpoint to the rising fear. Her love, a tender flame against the encroaching darkness enveloped me. Becky answered quickly.
THE PARK
"Hello, brother?"
"Becky, meet us at the park. If you don't see us right away, we'll be at the overpass, okay?"
"Yes, okay, I'm on my way. Take care, you two."
I ended the call, opening the car door for Freeya.
"Thank you, babe."
Her gaze lifted to the inky canvas strewn with diamonds. "You were right, it is breathtakingly beautiful here. The air is so fresh. Those stars are stunning."
"I told you, you'd love it," I said, a grin spreading across my face. Relief washed over me, fleetingly pushing away the disquiet.
I playfully pinched her cheek. "Ouch! That hurts!" she protested, her laughter a melody in the night.
We walked, our conversation a tranquil murmur against the tapestry of the night. Freeya, her hand finding mine, met my gaze. "Babe," she began, her eyes holding a depth that stirred something profound within me. "No matter what happens, it'll always be us. Even if there are obstacles, I promise to always be here, by your side, facing whatever may come together."
Her love illuminated the darkness, her devotion eclipsing the growing anxiety. Her words, both powerful and tender, were an anchor to my soul.
"Babe," she said, her eyes shining with luminous devotion. "You're my life. If you ever leave me... that would be my death." The playful edge to her tone only amplified her sincerity.
Tears welled, then spilled, a torrent of pure emotion. "Babe, thank you! You're the only one… I'll never let you go. Never," she declared.
We embraced, a testament to a love that felt as boundless as the heavens above.
The Boss's Perspective
"Boss? What do we do?" one of the men asked, his voice low.
The Boss smirked, his gaze fixed on the couple. "No rush. Let them enjoy their moment. We'll ruin it... later. Far later."
A cruel smile played across his lips. "It will be so much sweeter that way."
BECKY'S POV
Frustration battled with anxiety as Becky navigated the infuriating highway traffic. Every second felt like an eternity. She desperately hoped Richie and Freeya were safe.
Finally breaking free from the traffic, she accelerated, adrenaline pumping through her veins.
