JEONGIN'S POV

we stayed on that rooftop for a while, sitting on top of a giant condenser unit. it probably wouldn't be a good idea, but we didn't really care... it wasn't like there was anywhere else to sit.

chan and i sat practically entangled in each other, my legs over his own and my head on his shoulder as he played with my hands. "jeongin?" he asked softly, like he was trying to not disturb anybody even though we were the only ones up here at this time.

"yes?" i messed with the bottom of his shirt absentmindedly, looking off into the distance where the sun had departed a lot time ago.

"we should go inside," he said, taking my hand in his own. "it's gonna get cold and i don't want either of us to be sick." i felt my face heat up as he held my hand and couldn't help but smile a little bit.

i nodded and swung my legs back over the edge of the condenser and slipped off, landing safely on the rooftop. "okay, hyung." i held my hand out for him to take and he happily complied, following me back inside the building and walking down the steps with me.

"so..." he hummed, his voice echoing softly down the stairs. "do you have plans tonight?"

i thought about it as we went down the next half flight of steps. "no, not tonight... why do you ask?" i wondered. maybe he wanted to formally take me out somewhere? that sounds pretty nice.

"i was thinking you could come to my place and we could watch a movie," he said. "y'know...netflix & chill?" i felt my brain explode. "...except it's actually watching netflix and chilling. i have ice cream at home." he chuckled, while i felt my face burn in embarrassment. oh come on yang jeongin, you need to get your head out of the gutter.

the next flight and a half of stairs were silent with the exception of our footsteps. "innie? do you want to come over after this?" he asked again.

"o-oh, yeah! sure, yes." i blurted, still nervous. "we sure are getting down these stairs quick..." i said absentmindedly.

i could feel his soft staring from behind me. "yeah, we are..." he said suspiciously. "are you nervous?" he asked.

"huh?" i shook my head, "no, of course not! i'm just..." i tried to find an excuse but to no avail. "fine.. yeah, i'm a little nervous," i mumbled as we neared the bottom of the stair case. it was five flights of stairs.

chan chuckled as we walked down the stairs and i put my hand on the railing as we walked down together. we reached the bottom and walked out the door to the lobby of the building, then left to go to his apartment which was (very conveniently placed) close by.

the walk was calm, quiet. he unlocked the door to the building and opened the door for me, before walking in behind me and closing it. i took his hand in mine again and we walked to the elevator, pressing the up button and waiting. we didn't need to wait very long. "you first," chan said kindly. i smiled, nodded and walked in. he came to stand next to me and pressed a button
