"I'm going to KILL SOMEONE ALFIE!" I continued to prepare the vegetables for dinner as he entered the apartment."What happened king," I say while dicing onions.
"They towed my fucking car! MY CAR ALFIE!!!" Ouchies. Jax loves that car. I put my knife down and turned towards him.
"Would you like me to be me about this or would you just like to keep yelling." The question was genuine.
"GIMME A SECOND." Jax picked up a pillow off of the couch and quickly stepped into the bathroom. I give it a second. I hear a few muffled screams. He calmly exits the bathroom, face still shrouded in anger.
"Sorry for yelling Alf," he says as he flops onto the couch.
"It's alright Jax. Thank you for not slamming the door, and using the pillow." I really don't like loud anger, triggers my anxiety. Jax's anger has always been really big, but we've worked out a pretty good system that allows him to express his anger without bothering my nerves too much.
"It's no problem. You can be you about it now."
"Alright, so what happened exactly?" I like to have a full grasp of things before giving any input. It feels wrong to say anything otherwise.
He takes a deep breath.
"Okay so I got off of work early today so I went to visit Tio cuz' I hadn't seen him in a while and he said he was free. I swung by his apartment and we hung out for a little bit, and when I went to go back to my car it was... gone." He spoke the last word slowly doing his best not to scream.
"That's big lame."
"It's hella lame dude! And the worst part is I didn't even do anything wrong this time! Some fucking mean ass bitch called for my car to get towed for being in her spot that wasn't even fucking hers!" He was exhausted. I hated it when things like this happened to him. Jax seemed to almost attract unfortunate situations, despite being one of the much better people I know.
"I'm so sorry Jax, is there anything I can do?"
He slides off of the couch and onto the floor
"Hair." He didn't need to say anything else, we got each other like that.
"Gimme a sec." I wrap the unfinished vegetables put them in the fridge and wash my hands.
"Hurryyyyyyyyy," he whined. That was a good sign, if he was too upset he wouldn't even have the energy to whine.
"I'm coming," I chuckle. I make my way over to the couch, sit behind him, and begin to run my fingers through his hair. He let his head sink into my lap. A few minutes pass by before he speaks again.
"Alfie?"
"Yes, Jax?"
"Have I ever told you that I love you?"
"You didn't need to."
"But have I?"
"I don't think so."
He sat up and turned around to face me.
"Well I do," he says looking me in the eyes, brows knitted together. "I love you so much, Alfie."I'm quiet for a moment. His gaze stays locked on me.
"I love you too Jax." I hadn't expected this conversation today, but it was true.
Jax turned back around and laid his head back in my lap. I put my fingers back in his hair.
"Yo Alf?"
"Yes, Jax?"
"When did you know I loved you?"
