Houdai POV:

Remember how I said I was mostly normal. Well here's where the not normal part comes in. I can see demons. I have no clue why I can, since no one else in my family has this odd ability. Of course it had to be me to see demons though. Why not, I'm already weird enough! Anyway, more on the demons. I don't hunt them or anything, and I am unable to see angels without these weird bells that maya-Chan was throwing out one day that I kept, mainly since they kind of resembled the bells that Shinobu is always wearing. I can see demons with or without the bells, but angels I can only see with the bells. It doesn't make much of a difference though, considering I pretty much am always wearing them, so no worries there I guess. I've considered trying to hunt the demons possibly, but apparently you need a license for that kind of thing, and I really couldn't be bothered to get one. Not to mention it would be a lot of useless junk to learn, and besides you have to practically dedicate a huge chunk of your life to it. I already am having a hard enough time getting friends, and if i took that task i would never find a girlfriend that's for sure. I had arrived at the school, on time as usual, however I was disturbed from my peace by a huge pain in my neck. The pain was similar to the description I'd heard of when you get shot by a Cupid angel's love arrow. Yeah right Houdai, keep dreaming.

I was ready to have atleast a partially normal time, before being interrupted by some demon running from someone or something. It didn't bother me all too much until the stupid demon crashed directly into me. "Hey, Watch where you're going. Jeez, you demons need to be more cautious." I shout at her. She doesn't respond and flies off somewhere out of view. "H-Houdai, you can see demons" Said a voice I could recognize anywhere. I turn around to see Shinobu wielding a Uzi, which I always kind of presumed was fake. However, the fact she was chasing a demon down with it has changed my mind. However, i have more pressing matters on my mind then Shinobu bringing a Uzi to school. "Uh, yeah, kind of always been able to do that. Although it's quite surprising to hear you can as well." I reply. "Well, Me and Shinobu-Chan are demon hunters." Maya Chan said very causally. "Oh, I guess now that I put the pieces together it makes sense" I casually reply. "H-Houdai, That is way too casual of a response, do you understand what a big deal this is!? It's not just something we could tell anybody!" Shinobu stammers.

"No, I understand. It's just I've always seen them, and it does make sense, so it's not too crazy of a conclusion to draw. Also you sure told me pretty easily." I reply. "Fair enough, I suppose. Ho-nii if you couldn't tell by now, the family buisness I was forced to leave for was the demon hunting." Maya replied. "Oh! So that's what it was! I never really knew, neither did anyone I asked! And Shinobu, you refused to even speak to me!" I reply haphazardly in attempt to explain myself. "W-Well the only reason I didn't talk to you was because I didn't want you to become curious about our demon hunting is all!" Shinobu shouts. "Oh, so that's what it was! I'm pretty relieved because I kinda thought it was because you guys hated me or thought I was a weirdo or something!" I exclaim. "When you make comments like that, your statement will become true" Shinobu mumbles. "Geez, you should've known we wouldn't hate you." Maya said. "Ugh, why are you staring at me like that?" Shinobu said, drawing attention back to her. I decide to take advantage of this to embarrass her. "Oh well I might just have to teach your body directly then!" I say mischievously, then giggle. "Ugh Houdai, you pervert!" Shinobu shouts, before recomposing herself. "Well, anyways, if you can actually be of some use to us. You could even have some demon hunting potential within you. Hey Houdai, if you wanted to, would you help us out today? Maybe one day, we could even do this as a demon hunter couple!" Shinobu offered. I'm sure I simply imagined that last part though.

"Uhh, sure I guess. As long as I can be of some help to you." I exclaim. "Well, you can learn the basics along side us, besides, today gives us a slight advantage, way more than usual!" Shinobu exclaims. "Oh, and why's that?" I question. "It's the school anniversary, so the whole day is basically a giant passing period, with no actual periods. Most people aren't here today either." Maya explains. "Oh yeah, I suppose that would be fairly helpful." I nod. "Let's split up for now, I'll go by myself, and Maya, you should go with Houdai." Shinobu strategized. Before me or maya could convince her otherwise, she ran off.

"I don't quite understand what the point of that was, but whatever." I say, which seems to send maya into a deeper train of thought. "Hey Houdai, do you like Shinobu-Chan." Maya asks. "Huh, where did that come from? I suppose that doesn't matter though. I do, although I'm a little embarrassed, was it that obvious?" I stammer. "It seems like it was obvious to everyone except Shinobu-chan herself." Maya explains. "Oh well that's fortunate." I breathe a breath of relief. "You and Shinobu would be a good couple. Houdai, I've always been Shinobu's support, but I think it's about time you do that instead!" Maya said. "If you insist, I trust you then. But what about you?" I ask. "I'll be fine, besides, I believe there is a angel around here. If there is, i would love to speak with her!" Maya exclaimed. "Okay well, Where could i find Shinobu then?" I ask. "The demon is probably in the PE supplies room, which means Shinobu Chan is probably there too!" Maya exclaimed. "Thanks for the help Maya!" I exclaim while rushing to go meet Shinobu.
