AU: Grayscale

Y/N: Gender Neutral

You notice grayscale had been down more than usual, keeping himself locked up inside and talking to no one. You felt bad for him, Ever since he lost his colors he didn't go outside. You stood in front of  Home's door, his window eyes were shut, he must be sleeping. For a moment you thought about just going back home but you decided against it as you knocked on the door, it took a good minute before grayscale opened the door, when he did he seemed a little shocked to see you.

"Oh, Hello neighbor is there something wrong?" He tilted his head and you took a deep breath before you grabbed his hand and pulled him out of his house and dragged him to your garden. "N- neighbor what are you doing.." You opened the gate to your garden and closed it behind you and sat him down in the grass and you sat across from him.  "Gray.. You've been moping inside all week, I know you're sad about your colors but you need to be outside, everyone misses you. I miss you."  You spoke in a soft tone trying to reason with the puppet, hoping he would see how unhealthy it was to coop himself up in such a place. He teared up, his hands shook and he threw himself to you, hugging you tightly as he sobbed, you hugged him back and rubbed his back gently as he wept.

"I'm sorry neighbor.. I just haven't been up to facing anyone lately, I just feel like if I act like something is wrong they'll hate me, I just can't face anyone and act like I'm fine like this."

You looked at him as he pulled back and looked at the ground, his face still being stained with tears as he was being held in your arms, you wiped his tears and kissed his forehead. You smiled softly as you cupped his face in your hands and softly spoke "Gray.. You don't have to act perfect around me, I'm always here for you and I would never let you think of yourself as needing to be perfect for everyone all the time.. I love you the way you are." He sniffed and wiped his eyes, he seemed to be taken aback by your words and didn't know how to express his gratefulness for your words. His eyes flicked from your eyes to your lips and then back, he leaned closer and pressed his forehead against yours and looked into your eyes he smiled ever so slightly and gave you a quick peck on the lips, before pulling back and hugging onto your lower torso.
