“This is a stupid idea” Keegan grumbled, unamused with the entire situation.
“Oh come on, you’ll enjoy it” Hesh said, nudging the brunette with a smirk, Keegan briefly wondered why he allowed himself to be talked into this. The bright neon sign’s cursive font drew his attention as he stared at it.

Omega Palace

“I haven’t seen you take any partners in your past ruts. And your next one is coming up in a few days right? Sooo pick one” Hesh said leading him into the building albeit a bit eagerly. He groaned but followed the younger male. It was dimly lit inside, the heady scent of Omega’s in their prime filled the air. An array of different scents mingled together, in a way Keegan almost found suffocating. It had an luxurious feel to it. Expensive silks lining the furniture, and beautiful tapestries hanging from the walls.
“Evening Gentleman, I am James” A shorter man came to greet them, his wide smile and dark eyes looking over them briefly.
“Are you two looking for anything in particular?” He asked, an overly charming voice. Hesh responded before Keegan had a chance,
“Looking for a partner for him, rut is coming up soon” Hesh explained, his shit eating grin met with an unamused glare from the sergeant.
“Ah! We have a fine selection of omega’s. Depending on your tastes, I am sure we have a perfect fit” James exclaimed,

“So how does this shit work?” Keegan pondered, he wasn’t exactly interested in this….place. But Hesh ranted and raved about the women here, and somehow managed to drag him along.
“Well, it’s fairly simple. We offer Omega’s in both heat and not. Those in heat are…more expensive as you can imagine” He explained with a chuckle,

“You can either rent or buy your Omega”
“Buy?” Something about that churned his stomach, how was this any better than trafficking?
“Yes sir. Take a look around, if any interest you please let us know. We strive for excellence. Anything you see is available” James smiled, opening his arm toward the main room with a welcoming gesture.
“Come on man” Hesh grinned and walked past the host, a disgruntled sigh escaped Keegan's lips.

They spent close to an hour wondering, his head throbbing at the overwhelming fragrance in the air. Each and every Omega he looked at just didn’t interest him. Either their scent was sour to him, or their overly eager personality just brushed him the wrong way. Hesh had disappeared at some point, having found an Omega that suited him. Leaving the sergeant to wonder on his own, but with little luck he was eager to go outside to smoke. Clear his lungs of the stuffy air. But a scent caught his attention. Sweet but not sickly sweet like the others. Like warm vanilla and smoky. Similar to the smoky scent of a wooden whiskey barrel. Subtle and intoxicating. Why hadn’t he smelt it before? His deep blue eyes searched the room to try and locate the scent, his boots leading him forward. Trying to track down the source.

Then he saw her, kneeling on a small raised platform. Sitting on her heels. A dark blue silk blindfold covering her eyes, hair pulled into a messy bun at the back of her head. Her appearance wasn’t as prepared as the others, as if she wasn’t here to be a display piece. A black dress clung to her figure, hugging her curves. Hands held behind her back in a boxtie, wrists tightly bound to each other. Why was she tied up? None of the other Omega’s were tied…
“Ah, sir this one is not available” James appeared at his side, like a nagging thorn in his side. He looked at the woman with disdain,
“Though you said everything was available” Keegan retorted, looking down at James.

“Well…yes but this one?” he gestured toward the black haired woman,
“She is….well she isn’t an Omega so she isn’t available” He shrugged. The man’s words made his brow arch in confusion looking back at the woman a few feet away. She shifted uncomfortably, and it made him wonder how long she had been in that position.
“Then what is she?”
“A Delta. Not exactly an Alpha but not exactly an Omega either. An annoyance is more accurate wi-”
“I want her” Keegan interjected, not interested in any explanation James could offer. She was the only one who had interested him. Out of the fifty other Omegas, this one was different.
“I can’t sell her in good conscious, you seem like a-”
“Don’t assume anything of me. What is her name?”
