Two weeks had passed since the frightening encounter that I had experienced. I had never been fond of ghosts, and the incident had left me shaken to the core. It was then that I realized that I had dropped my trusty flashlight while fleeing from the scene. As I rummaged through my belongings, I came across a hat that had a built-in flashlight - a perfect solution to my problem. I quickly put it on my head, feeling relieved that I had all the necessary gear for my upcoming adventure. With the flashlight hat in place, I stepped out of my caravan, feeling confident and ready for whatever lay ahead.
As I hurriedly made my way out, I had to be cautious not to disturb the party that was taking place at the hotel. Additionally, last week, I recall seeing a boat dock at a rather late hour but I was too exhausted to investigate further. This time, as I ventured into the forest, I had a more laid-back approach and treated it as a camping trip rather than an expedition. Just to be on the safe side, I decided to bring along some plushies with me. Upon entering the forest, I activated my trusty flashlight hat to guide me through the woods.
As I trudged along the winding trail, I felt the weight of my backpack on my shoulders. After walking for a few minutes, I finally found a suitable spot to set up camp. I pulled out my tent and carefully assembled it, making sure to stake down the corners and secure the guylines.
Once the tent was set up, I unpacked my backpack and began to sort through my belongings. I retrieved my sleeping bag and laid it out on the ground, making sure it was flat and free of debris. Next, I pulled out my plushies and placed them inside the sleeping bag, making sure they were nestled comfortably against the soft fabric.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, I crawled into my sleeping bag and closed my eyes, feeling the cool night air on my face. I drifted off to sleep, feeling safe and content in my cosy little tent.
03:00 AM
I was fast asleep in my tent when I suddenly heard a faint rustling sound outside. At first, I thought it was just the wind blowing through the trees, but the noise persisted and grew louder. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but it was impossible. The rustling sound continued and became more intense. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to investigate. I slowly unzipped my sleeping bag and cautiously crawled towards the tent entrance. After taking a deep breath, I slowly unzipped the tent flap and peered outside, not sure what I would find.As I gazed around the dense forest, I struggled to spot anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly, a faint voice broke the silence, "Down here." Confused, I looked down and noticed a peculiar white-green bow-shaped object at my feet. "Oh hey, has something happened?" I asked, waiting for a response.
"I got locked out of the hotel!" the object exclaimed in distress. My heart went out to them, so I decided to offer them a place to stay for the night. I rummaged through my backpack and retrieved a spare sleeping bag. "Okay, here's a sleeping bag," I said, handing it over to the object.
"Thanks," the object said gratefully as they made their way to their makeshift bed. I too settled down for the night, feeling satisfied that I could help someone in need. Eventually, I drifted off to sleep, hoping that the object would have a peaceful night's rest.
