Kid Ritz POV
Today was the day. I was finally getting to interview famous pop stars, Velvet and Veneer.
I was practically jumping for joy when I got the news! I'm such big fans of them, their hit song was amazing!
Since I was interviewing my idols I decided to dress in my favorite outfit. My white jumpsuit with colorful spots all over it. I was just about to leave until I saw my favorite blue hat. I put it on and got into my car to go to the studio.
At the interview
I was sitting with them, nervous as can be. I couldn't believe I was finally meeting them. THE Velvet and Veneer. I took a deep breath and tried to play it cool.
They came in and sat down.
"So what do you wanna know, I'm a open book" Velvet said to me.
"Wide open, We're gaping novels!" Veneer said.
Veneer is kinda adorable if you think about it. I quickly thought up a question.
"Okay well, who are some of your biggest influences?" I decided to ask.
"Honestly Vels, has always been my biggest inspiration."
I smiled a little at his response. It was kinda adorable how much he looks up to Velvet.
"My biggest inspiration, I would have to go with also me!" Velvet said.
I rolled my eyes at this. How self centered is this girl???!!! I looked over at Veneer and he was looking over at Velvet with admiration. I feel bad for him, he seems so innocent and naive.
I decided to talk a little bit about them getting a award and all their success before I asked the final question.
"Last question! How do you guys stay the biggest superstars Mount Rageous has ever known?? What's your secret?"
Veneer started to panic over this.
"Secret!? We don't have a secret! Who said we have a secret!!!!!?!?!?" He said this as he started to hyperventilate.
Velvet said something else but I was too lost in veneer's nervousness. It seemed like they were definitely hiding something.
After that the interview ended.
A few minutes later
Just as they were leaving I grabbed Veneer's hand.
"Hey Veneer, can we talk?" I asked him.
"Sure" he replied and motioned that he will be out in a few to velvet.
Velvet rolled her eyes and left the room.
"Are you guys hiding something...you acted super suspicious when I said something about a secret."
Veneer panicked.
"NO! I DIDN'T...WE AREN'T..." he started to breathe heavily.
"Hey you seem nervous." I said as I started to rub his palms.
He started to calm down.
"It's just like velvet said...we just practice a lot and stuff. No secret." He smiled softly at me.
"Alright well...you can tell me if something bothers you" I reassured him.
"It's really nice to have you to talk to, a lot of kids thought I was weird or bullied me for being g..."He cut himself off.
"For being what?" I asked.
"Okay you can't tell anyone this...only velvet knows, but I'm gay" he confessed to me.
I smiled at him, I was really happy that veneer felt comfortable enough to confess this to me.
"It's totally fine...I'm actually Bisexual."
"Really? That makes me feel so much less weird!" He hugged me tight.
"Can I maybe have your number? So we could hang out or just talk later, you're really cool and stuff...and I'm a big fan of you and velvet...so....yeah" I asked nervously.
"Yeah sure! I'd love to be your friend!" Veneer was really excited, I could tell.
After we exchanged numbers Veneer left.
I slid down on the door and screamed like a teenage girl. I felt like this was some kind of Rom-Com and I just met my dream guy.
Veneer's POV
I walked up to Velvet after I just got Kid Ritz's phone number. I was smiling so wide, I definitely looked like a massive idiot to her.
"What took you so long!" Velvet said as she rolled her eyes, she was clearly annoyed.
"I'm sorry! He was just talking to me about...another interview!" I made up a lie quickly.
"He should've talked to me! I'm the one with all the talent here!"
"You're right...I'm sorry velvet..." I just decided to stay calm like I always do whenever she's mad at me.
The truth is, velvet has always been kinda rude to me. I don't stand up to her because she's all I have. She may be super mean and bossy but she's my sister and I love her with all of my heart, I could never afford to loose her.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard velvet.
"hey...hey...HEY!" Velvet shouted.
"Sorry! I was spaced out" I smiled at her.
"It's okay I guess...wanna get in the limo now?" She asked, she seemed calm now.
"Yeah sure! I responded trying my best to sound excited.
We got in the limo, I thought about Kid Ritz the whole time.
