POV ANITA:

Suddenly, Floginho began to malfunction, and I found myself in different timelines with different aspects. It seemed I couldn't get rid of Floginho.

--No, Floginho, no.

 --Don't do this again, no.

 -Don't do this to me.

 -Again! I shouted in shock.

-What year is it? I asked myself as I looked around at a different environment than I used to see.

I approached a small table and saw myself in a mirror; I was wearing a piercing. I turned my gaze and saw a calendar.

-2009? No, no, it can't be. How is that possible?

Before attempting anything else, I heard footsteps approaching, and when I thought the door would open, a voice from the other side gave instructions to come down for breakfast but mentioned another person I didn't know. Filipa? Who was that girl? Suddenly, another warning sounded... How long do you plan to stay there? I quickly got dressed and obeyed. Descending the stairs, I observed the place thoroughly; it was very modest and filled with people I didn't know at all! I had to sit among these people and share breakfast; I had never felt so strange since Luiza's wedding, although that practically didn't happen because I changed things. One person I knew was all I asked for, but they didn't appear. As I looked around, the silence was broken when someone asked me an unusual question.

-Anita, why isn't Filipa with you?

Damn! Who was Filipa? And why should I know where she was? Calm down, Anita. Just pretend everything is fine and don't complicate things further.

-That's strange! I don't know why she didn't come for breakfast.

She'll probably come soon, one of the girls said.

Those were the most unsettling 5 minutes of my life; everyone spoke to me as if they already knew me, and I had no idea who they were. Then, everyone got up from the table and left me alone. Although I hesitated about whether to follow them or not, I decided to stay and wash the dishes these people had left—what a lack of manners! When I finished, I went outside for a moment to soak up the sun, and suddenly, I felt a hand on my back.

-Why didn't you wake me up? she said.

-Should I have?

-Are you my friend or not?

-Yes, I suppose.

-Well, it doesn't matter because we'll be late!

And before I could react, that girl took me by the arm, running.

-Why the rush? I thought.

But when I saw the door, everything made sense.

-University?

That took me by surprise, and even more so when the doors were closed, and while that girl tried to convince the doorman to let us in, I decided to do something riskier to achieve it. I climbed over the wall, and although I thought I wouldn't make it, I managed to pass and ran toward the entrance. I was already celebrating when I tripped and fell into a water fountain. The doorman ran towards me and helped me get out; I was crying; my fall was so hard that for a moment, I was drowning.

-Does anyone know this girl? he said, turning to the young people who came out when they heard my screams.

I do, someone said. I recognized that voice.Joel?

As he approached us, I noticed that another person was sneaking among the curious and ran towards me. It was Fabricio.

-Are you okay?
