Ayelet POV

"Mom, can you please stop crying?" I asked my mother for the hundredth time since we arrived at my dorm. I swear she acts like I don't have Jewel and Za'leai to watch over me. "Dad a little help here." I pleaded with my dad to grab my mother off me since she wouldn't stop crying on me which I hate but I could never tell her that.

"Come on honey let the poor girl breathe." My father told my mother as he grabbed my mother off of me. "But William our baby is leaving the nest and going into the big world." My mother said as she cried into my father's arms.

"Mom you act like I'm going to be alone I have Za and JJ to help guide me in this so-called big world," I said to my crying mother. "Awww Ayea your making mom cry again asshat," Za said as she replaced Dad and hugged our mother trying to comfort her. Honestly, it took everything in me not to roll my eyes at Za because she's always playing kiss ass.

"Oh Za shut up you know your loving mom crying over Ayelet since she not crying over you, so who is the real asshat," Jewel said grabbing Za's ear and pulling her away from my mother. "OUCH" Za screamed as JJ was pulling her away. I took my cochlear out because the noise was too much.

Whoever said hearing was the best thing in the world must not have experienced being deaf because I think they would change their statement. Oh did I forget to mention I'm deaf Well my bad bookies I guess I gotta give you all my back story huh? Well, I haven't always been deaf it happened a while back a couple of days after I turned 9 I was in an accident but I don't remember much I just remember a big boom and poof I'm in a hospital bed seeing everyone scream but not hearing.

*FLASHBACK*

"What do you mean she's dying" 9-year-old Ayelet heard her mother yell at a tall handsome man who had pale glowing skin, blue eyes, and blond hair he truly looked like a god. "I didn't stutter Fawn the poison is spreading a lot faster than we expected we need your husband's help." The handsome man explained to Fawn.

"No, we can't help you and you know it we have an agreement," Fawn said in distress. "So you let your best friend's daughter die because of your selfishness typical," The man said loudly getting in Fawn's face. "I suggest you back the fuck away from my wife." William's eyes turned yellow as he yelled at the man. To their surprise, he backed away.

"Two weeks she's giving you two weeks." He said backing away and smirking. "There was never a choice that why she sent you, because she knew she could never fake it," Fawn said as a tear fell down her cheek which William was quick to wipe away. "You know there wasn't Fawn."

*TWO WEEKS LATER*

"Do you have a cure for me William?" A tall blond-haired woman asked. "No you didn't give me enough time and you know it." Before William could blink he was being pushed against the wall being held up by his throat. "See William I had faith in you but for once you let me down," she said smirking.

"Oh what's this?" a short-haired tan girl asked William. "Get from over there little girl" Fawn warned the girl. "Please Fawn you are only a hundred years older than me." the girl replied rolling her eyes.

"This journal says that the bottle is the key to the cure and those herbs are the final piece but it doesn't say which one." Said the brown-haired boy. "Which one is it William my time is running out." The woman asked tightening her grip around William's neck.

"Silent I see well I say mix until we get a reaction," she told the boy holding the bottle. After a while nothing happened when a big explosion happened causing a huge blast to consume the room. But little did they know a newly 9-year-old Ayelet was in the room until after the smoke cleared and her little body was seen lying on the floor.

"My baby" Fawn yelled as she ran to make sure her daughter was still breathing. "Look at what your selfishness has done to our innocent child." Yelled William as he quickly grabbed his daughter and ran upstairs to take his daughter to the hospital. "I hope you are happy your majesty" Fawn spat as she ran after her husband.

An emotion the woman has never felt washed over her. She felt guilty and ashamed of her actions not because she was selfish but because the little girl got hurt. For the next 9 years, she never understood why she felt that way but she'd soon find out when said little girl showed up again but not so little this time.
