Timeline start: 1942

Gellert Grindelwald has been gaining more territory as well as followers, some even fear that he has spies around the Ministry of Magic and maybe even Hogwarts.

The paranoia and fear of the uncertain times lying ahead scare the new students as well as strengthen their want to protect and grow, bringing forth more Slytherins and Hufflepuffs than all the years before.

Now you're probably asking yourself: "Why Slytherin and Hufflepuff? Why not Gryffindor?"

Oh well, that is quite simple! Slytherin is the house that offers the most cunning and ambitious students, bringing forth magnificent wizards and witches that surely will have important roles up high in the wizarding world.

Not only does Slytherin host the most successful but also the purest blood of them all inside its confinements. Typical to hear from a Slytherin is that they are either a half-blood of high status or a pure-blood, which makes muggle-borns that take step into the Slytherin dungeons easy prey to the high-born aristocrats.

But what about Hufflepuff? Oh, they are the sweetest and kindest people to have joined Hogwarts, but do not fret. There is much more hidden than just their sweet exterior and love for food and animals.

They are clever, so clever that you would be surprised that many Hufflepuffs become high aurors!

But even more important is their affinity with healing. Healing is the brightest and most natural trait of a Hufflepuff as they typically have been through a lot but learned to deal with it, without having to turn to the dark side of magic.

Still, watch yourself around their calm smiles as there can lurk danger behind those warm eyes!

Now why did I even tell you all this, when you already know about it?

Correct!

There are specific new students as well as a peculiar new professor to join us this year.

What will transpire with those who will fall for the dark arts?
And what about the broken ones that don't know what to do with themselves?
What if there is someone beyond being saved?
What will they do once they find out about their intertwined fates?
Who will change? But will it be for the better... or worse?

Without further ado, let's start with the story of the "Beasts & Monsters"!

Hey!! Author here or rather, Lu / Luna / Lina.
Depends on what you'd rather call me.

I've been working on this for a while now and hope that I can reach the Harry Potter fandom with this little idea.
Seeing as there are so many talented writers on Wattpad, I decided to finally go and publish this on here as well.

Positive criticism would be appreciated but please don't say that Harry Potter and the characters belonging to J.K. Rowling do belong to her and not me.
The only characters directly belonging to me are the OCs involved in the storyline, but even so, those are still based off of real people.
With that I'm also asking everyone reading this to respect the characters and the way they're written.

Everything has its purpose!!
