Everyone Is Not Your Friend

I've learned so much this year. I've traveled across the country learning about my craft as a videographer, I've learned a lot about people, friends, family, etc. it was all a big learning curve. This topic really hits me hard because I've learned the hard way that friends comes and goes. This year. I lost what I felt like two of my best female friends over bs honestly. I had to learn that you can't always "keep it honest" with someone without them feeling like you're attacking them. Especially if they want you to feed into their delusion.

I lost my first female friend over two things. Liking her, and her boyfriend. We both established that we were just friends. We did have feelings together, but we decided to be friends. She gets into a relationship and her bf is abusive. He abuse her mentally and physically sometimes. What was tough to understand was that I had to let her go through that because I tried to tell her he not the guy for you and it backfired on me. We don't talk as much anymore, we don't laugh and cut up over the phone anymore, we don't do much anymore. Her Bf started telling her we could not hangout anymore because of his insecurities which I completely understand.

My other friend was the biggest downfall. We fell out over me being to honest. Her biggest problem was not accepting the hard truth. I wasn't trying to hurt her feelings or anything. I gave her advice about her calling in at her new job she started. She was on her period and was having bad cramps. I told her don't call in because she just started. She felt like I wasn't listening to her and ignored what I said. I responded to her saying imma tell you what you need to hear, not what you want.

To conclude everything, if your friends are willing to not contact you because of a simple dispute or they can't take those conversations that help better them, they were never your
friend.
