Jason looked on. He had come inside inside to borrow some books. But, somehow, he was stuck there.
Right at the corner of the room, was a girl. ~Now, Don't Get Me Wrong~ He had nothing to do with her. He hardly talked to her. Or it seemed the opposite way. Either way, it didn't matter.
Amanda was of average height, fair-skinned, freckles on her cheeks. She had shoulder-length dark brown hair. And her eyes. Emerald green. Crystal clear. Every feature seemed so familiar to Jason. He didn't meet her. But maybe, he had met her. When they hadn't known each other.
Suddenly, she looked up at him. Realizing what he had been doing, Jason quckly shifted his gaze.
"Dangit!", he thought to himself. He quietly smiled to himself at his own stupidity. Ofcourse, his parents had told him not to stare at others. What had he been thinking?
"Hey!", someone called out to him.
Jason looked around to find Samuel, Max and Loretta.
"Hey yourself", said Jason getting up.
Samuel was telling him something. But Jason had other things in his mind.
"Are you even listening to me?", asked Samuel, raising his brow.
Jason snapped back to reality. "I'm sorry... what?"
"We-were-thinking-of-going-to-the-town-this-weekend", Max repeated, pausing after each word.
"Uh, yeah, sure." Jason did not actually understand them.
Loretta, however was not convinced. "What are you thinking about, Jason?"
"Uh, nothing."
After much persuading, they left him. It was impossible to read his mind.
Loretta was one person Jason trusted. Yet, he couldn't even imagine telling her about Amanda.
Things had gone pretty well between Jason and Loretta since pre-school. So, they were practically together the whole time.
Loretta was tall, tanned, and had deep grey eyes. She was girly. Like, Uber Girly. She understood Jason. For all these reasons, Jason literally loved her. Whereas Samuel and Max were twins. And Jason's best mates. They both had black hair, fair skin tone and amber eyes.
For some reason, Jason always noticed other's eyes. Maybe because his mum was an opthamologist. Or he simply had interest in others' eyes.
