The "Stranger"

New school. New start.

'This is it', I thought while standing outside my new school, 'New school, new start.' I passed the elegant, black gate and turned my attention to the tall, prestigious school in front of me. As I walked closer to the administration door, I felt myself getting more and more nervous, but I held my head high, cause I deserved to be there. With excitement, I pushed open the large door engraved with the school's name and eagerly walked up to the front desk. 

"Good morning," The lady said, looking up from her computer, "You must be the new student," I nodded and smiled, shocked at how friendly she was, "Cindy, right? My name is Ms Stuklis, but you can call me Mandy," She said with a sweet smile. She reached for her cupboard, pulled out a binder and passed it to me, "This is very important for your year at this school; it holds everything you need to know, including your timetable, a school map, extracurriculars and more. Your homeroom class is in Room 305, which is in the west wing. Don't worry about getting lost, there are clear signs around the school paths, and students are always happy to help." My brain stuttered, trying to process all the information, "Have a nice day", I managed to say. I quickly flipped to the page with the school map to find my homeroom. 

When I got outside it was mesmerising, the trees and plants, the buildings and structure. It was all unbelievable. I found Room 305 very easily and knocked on the door politely, wanting to make a good first impression, "Come in," I heard a muffled voice say. I opened the door, excited to see my new class. "Ah, you must be the new student, Cindy," the teacher said, he had a failed attempt at a smile on his face, "Everyone, this is Cindy Hart," he glared as I walked in. I scanned the room, looking at a fraction of my cohort, and my brain naturally judged people based on how they looked at me. Most of them looked decently nice until I saw him, and we locked eye contact,

'Shit.'
