There was a darkness in her that hadn't been there before. A bitterness that had come to rest itself in her bones, and an aching sense of emptiness that ate away at every fragment of who she was- of who she had become.

Ahsoka Tano was not a force to be reckoned with- she had transformed into a storm that took down everything in her path. Every day, she had reached into the Force, to try and find someone, anyone who was still out there. Nothing. They were gone, and she supposed, so was she.

Her Master was definitely gone- everything that Anakin was, had vanished, instead he was replaced with a monster, who vanquished the innocent, and protected the evil. The Darkside had consumed him- everything he was, and everything he could've been.

The Jedi Council was gone. The Senate was gone. Coruscant- a once thriving planet that hosted the Jedi Temple, was left barren, and weak.

Everything Ahsoka knew was ripped away from her in an instant.

The cries of desperation that had reached her through the Force that night, sent a shiver throughout her entire being. Bloodcurdling screams for help, and choking sobs for mercy had fallen upon her helpless senses.

He was responsible for this. The whole of the Jedi population, eradicated, because he let himself get attached. Hypocrite, wasn't he the one who had always told her that the Jedi are not allowed to form attachments? Liar, this word was heavy on her heart, she trusted him, and he deceived her.

Months, no, years, of living in hiding, in fear of being executed by the very clones she had once fought alongside of, the ones she had once called her friends. She hid for fear she would have to face her demons, and face him- the one she had trusted with her life more than anyone.

Ahsoka Tano was no longer the young Padawan that flitted about the galaxy with her Master- she had changed, and not for the better. She had been hardened by War, and rebellion. She had been broken by lies, deceit, and betrayal.

Her soul had become bitter, and angry. Her heart had become heavy, and full of sorrow. She was gone, a machine with no purpose except to survive. To escape from the memories that threatened to smash her to pieces. To run from the nightmares of her long ago slaughtered family.

The darkness within her had been planted by him, and she vowed to make him pay for it.
