He thought he'd never get to see her again, he thought that his padawan had been lost forever.

When Ahsoka had stepped off of the drop ship, he had thought it was all part of some sort of dream- the kind where he'd wake up twisted in his bedsheets, with tears racing down his cheeks.

She looked so small, and out of place compared to the towering Wookies that were surrounding her.

She was safe, and it just seemed so unreal, because just a day earlier, he had given up

A voice inside of him urged him to lurch forward, towards his Padawan.

Another voice inside of him wanted him retreat, to shrink into himself, because he wasn't worthy of her. He was willing to leave her stranded, because he had let his emotions cloud his judgment.

He reached out towards her, a sigh of relief escaping from him when his hands landed on her shoulders. She was here, and she was alive.

"Ahsoka," he felt like he could breathe again. She was here, she was safe.

He blubbered and begged for her forgiveness. How could he have been so stupid? His little sister, his best friend, his other half, and it was his fault she was taken.

"It's not your fault, Master."

She tilted her head and her big blue eyes made him break all over again.

He should've been the one reassuring her, comforting her.

"Thank you, Master."

If not for the Jedi masters watching their display, he would've pulled her in for a bone crushing hug.

Ahsoka was safe, and he was never letting her out of his sight ever again.
