kaileya sat at her desk, the dim glow of her fairy light's illuminating her working area. she quickly finished typing the final touches of then four page essay for another in her class, before printing it out.
" alright, i think i'm done," she sighed, placing the papers in a new folder. she grabbed a sharpie from her cup, and wrote down the name 'josiah' on it.
kaileya did worksheets, presentations, projects and essays for students in her grade for the cost of thirty dollars each. she was saving up to buy a car, because she absolutely hated making her parents drive her around everywhere.
she had some regular customers, some that she was even acquaintances with.
suddenly she heard a knock on her door. she snapped her head towards where she heard the sound, before quickly hiding the folder as she watched her mother walk in.
" hey, mommy, good morning," she greeted with a small smile on her face as she wiggled her fingers.
kaileya's mother smiled lightly, seeing her daughter. " hey baby, i just wanted to tell you to start getting dressed, i'm gonna go get kayden ready for pre-school. you should be done by the time we're done," she told her, leaning on kaileya's door frame.
" also, if you want breakfast, your dad is cooking breakfast burrito's downstairs in the kitchen. we can stop at starbucks, but you should grab one or two for lunch maybe," she added
" okay, thank you, mommy," kaileya nodded, standing up from her seat.
her mother only smiled, slowly closing the door behind her as she exited the room. " alright, i'll see you soon, sweetie,"
kaileya let out a breath she didn't even know that she was holding. " whew," she muttered, making her way to her vanity.
she sat down, turning on the vanity lights. her makeup routine was very simple and easy. all she did was apply bb cream, concealer, filled her eyebrows, blush, lash clusters and lip gloss. it took fifteen minutes max.
" lemme play sumn real quick," she muttered to herself, grabbing her phone. she scrolled on her spotify liked songs before deciding on 'bitch let's do it' by youngboy never broke again. kaileya loved her some youngboy.
she connected her phone to her alexa with bluetooth, letting it play.
