Tiana

I went from being a cheerleader to just a normal student. Extracurricular activities wasn't even on my mind.

We only had one week left in school. I couldn't focus on any of my exams.

Much as I wanted to focus on school work I couldn't. My mind was everywhere.

I sat in math class barely awake. I tried focus on the exam in front of me.

I struggled to keep my eyes open. My weariness was winning. I dozed off.

"Tiana are you going to finish your exam?" Mr. Franklin asked, tapping my shoulder.

"Yes sir." I said wiping the slob from the corner of my mouth.

"Well you can't do it in your sleep." He said with his hands in his pocket.

"It counts as thirty percent of your grade and your grade can't afford to take that hit.

"But if you fail you'll be able to make it up this summer." He walked back to his desk.

I flipped the page in my test booklet. It seemed as if I would've never finished but I did.

Soon as I bubbled in in my last answer the bell rung signaling it was lunchtime.

I grabbed my binder and bag from the floor and headed to the cafeteria.

Everyone made their way into the cafeteria.

I made my way through the people and sat alone at a table by a vending machine.

I was wearing my North face hoody. It was extremely hot.

Bad as I wanted to take it off I couldn't. My cuts still hadn't healed.

"Hey Tiana." Breya says sitting across from me.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked placing her tray on the table.

"You already sat down so I won't make you get up." I sighed.

"If it's a problem I'll move." She pointed behind herself.

I really didn't want to sit alone today. "No your good." I said.

"You're hair is pretty." She said stuffing a chicken nugget in her mouth.

"Thanks." I smiled. "Why aren't you sitting with your friends?"

"I want to sit here." She said turning to look at Tray walking towards us.

He was still wearing the same too little coat. "What's up Tiana?" He said taking a seat beside Breya.

"Hey Tray." I waved.

"Oh you remember my name?" He asked twisting the top off of his soda.

"Shut the hell up Tray. You ain't nobody." Breya rolled her eyes.

"Who was talking to you?" He joked.

"You didn't have to be." She smirked.

"Now sit your black ass down." She said snatching his soda from his hand.

"Like I was saying I sat here because I wanted to plus I'm getting tired of them messy hoes." She said looking towards her friend's table.

"I can understand that." I say. She is so gorgeous.

I'm pretty too but this girl was stunning. She didn't need much of anything to make her pretty.

She was just pretty. I was adoring her skin. It was just so beautiful.
