The comforting glow of the television illuminated the living room as Seraphina and her younger sister, Genevieve, settled in for a movie night. The atmosphere was relaxed, the scent of popcorn filling the air.

During a lighthearted moment in the film, Genevieve turned to Seraphina with a mischievous grin. "So, spill it, Sera. What's going on with you and Dominik? There's definitely something more than just rivalry."

"Genevieve, it's complicated," Seraphina began, choosing her words carefully. "Dominik and I... there's a tension, an attraction, but I've been down that road before. It didn't end well."

Genevieve's eyes widened with curiosity. "You had a thing with someone before? Why haven't you told me about it?"

Seraphina hesitated, the memories of her past relationship resurfacing. "It was a long time ago, and it didn't end well. I've built these walls to protect myself. Opening up again is... difficult."

Genevieve, sensing the vulnerability in her sister's tone, placed a comforting hand on Seraphina's shoulder. "Sera, you can't let a bad experience from the past dictate your present and future. Dominik seems different."

Seraphina nodded, a mixture of gratitude and apprehension in her gaze. "He is different, Genevieve. But it's not that simple. I'm afraid of getting hurt again."

Genevieve leaned back, studying her sister's expression. "Maybe it's worth taking the risk, Sera. You won't know unless you try. And who knows, it might lead to something beautiful."

Seraphina smiled, appreciating her sister's wisdom. "You always were the insightful one. But promise me, Genevieve, you won't meddle in this. It's complicated enough as it is."

Genevieve raised her hands in mock surrender. "I won't meddle, I promise. But if you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you, Sera."
