you made your way to the gym, running abit late since you had a council meeting. when you walked through the doors, everyone was warming up and the new 1st years looked at you in awe. of course everyone knew and heard about you and was excited to see you and learn from you!!
miya atsumu "someone's late"
atsumu smirked before serving a ball across the net.
"shut it miya"
you said with annoyance. you decided to ignore him and went over to your friends. the girls on the team were all really close and really treated each other like family.
coach kai "okay guys,let's start tryouts now!" "hello first years, today's tryouts are simple..."
you zoned out for a while. suddenly, you heard your name being called.
coach kai "okay now our girls team captain, l/n y/n will demo a jump serve for you guys just for you to see, y/n please come here."
you awkwardly went towards the court and got ready to serve. you took a deep breath, jumped and did a flawless jump serve. you heard atsumu scoff.
miya atsumu "i could've done better."
you were about to go over and yell at him but suna stepped infront of you.
suna rintarou "heyyyy y/n that jump serve was really good"
he tried distracting you while osamu dragged atsumu to the other side of the gym. you sighed. you rarely got angry but something about atsumu just made you really mad.
tryouts were over and as you were about to head home, coach called out for you and atsumu to stay behind to review the new 1st years and decide who would make the team. your face dropped. you really couldn't stand miya atsumu but now you were forced to be with him alone?! you sighed as you really didn't have a choice.
miya atsumu "alright i observed both girl and boy tryouts and came up with a list of 1st years that are good enough to be on the team, so i'll just give it to coach so that we can go home now"
you looked at the paper he brought up.
"there's only like 1 name on this?? what the fuck???"
miya atsumu "hey i'm doing you a favour, i just picked out people who were good enough to be on the team. i mean i don't know, your standard of good is probably lower after that horrible jump serve just now."
you glared at him.
"it's not like you can do better miya. just fuck off please."
he put his hands up in defeat.
miya atsumu "hey i'm sorry okay. anyway we are gonna be spending more time together since we are both captains so we should try to get along."
you said no and flipped him off. you then decided to walk out of the gym.
"i'll send the list to coach."
you said before the gym doors close. atsumu stared in disbelief.
miya atsumu "what the fuck is her problem."
he shouted. he pulled out his phone to message his friends.
