I wake up to the sound of my phone going off. The sun peers through the blinds in the bedroom, and Nate has one arm draped over my stomach. I stare at the ceiling in hopes that my phone could stop ringing. My phone goes quiet for a few seconds but then it starts ringing again. I groan and then quickly pick it up from the nightstand on the side of the bed; As I answer the call, I lay my head back down next to Nate's.

"Katy, I was just checking in to see how your first night went up at the cabin!" My mom says from the other line.

I look over at Nate and smile thinking about what happened last night.

"Yes, Mom, it went really well!"

I see Nate's eyes flutter open next to me; he gives me a questioning look and signals to my phone. I mouth back that it's my mom and he nods, getting out of bed naked.

My mom keeps talking on the other line, but the only thing I can focus on is Nate's bare back and butt.

"Katy? Were you even listening to anything I just said? I'm telling you that tonight will be crazy since it's New Years Eve and to stay safe," she said sternly.

"Of course I'll stay safe! You don't have to worry about me!"

Our conversation went on for awhile before I said I had to go. Nate and I have so much to do before our party tonight.

I jump out of bed and head to the closet to throw on some clothes. I decide leave my hair naturally wavy for the day.

As I walk downstairs, I yell to Nate that we have to go and get party stuff. He tosses me the keys and we head out the door. It's a really nice day, considering it's the middle of winter up in the Mountains. The sun beams are bouncing off the snow-covered trees, creating a breath-taking view.

Nate and I hop in the car and begin the drive into town. The cabin is pretty isolated on the side of a mountain, so it's going to take awhile to get into town.

Nate blasts our favorite rap music throughout the car. He starts to rap along, and let me tell you, he's actually really good. I love how deep his voice goes when he articulates each verse.

Eventually, we arrive in town and stop at a coffee/donut place to get some to-go brunch. I ask Nate to feed me the donuts since I'm driving.

After the first donut I was full but Nate kept trying to feed me another one.

"Babe stop, if I keep eating I won't be able to fit into my dress tonight!" I whined.

I've always been really confident with my body, but tonight I want to look extra good because I will be seeing my mystery guy, Sammy.

Nate gives me the "are you serious" look. I laugh and pull into the parking lot of the grocery store.

Upon entering the store, Nate picks me up and throws me into a shopping cart. He pushes me everywhere not allowing me to get out; he says he doesn't want me wasting my energy for tonight. We continue to look around, finding items and then putting them back. We mess around in the store for a little longer and then end up getting a bunch of red solo cups, chips, and soda.

While waiting in line to pay at checkout, Nate runs away with the money. The line starts to move faster and I start to freak out like a little kid waiting for his mom to come pay. Nate comes back holding a box of condoms and throws them on the moving belt. He pulls out his wallet and pays, winking at me in front of the cashier. She gives us an awkward look and then whispers something about young love. But trust me, Nate and I aren't in love...

We exit the store and walk across the street to the liquor store. Me, only being 19 and Nate being 20, have to pull out our fake IDs to enter. We trot through the aisles, scanning the boxes of beer and liquor shelf. Nate starts to argue with me on what beer to get, claiming that Blue Moon is better than Coors Light. Personally, I could care less, but I love getting Nate all angry. We mutually decide on drinks and then leave the liquor store.
