when I heard someone knock on my door. "Y-yes I replied shocked about what was going to happen next.

"Hey I am going to come in I was just checking on y- sam said as he walked in...

He signed closeing the door behind him walking up to me grabbing the knife from my hands and throwing it on the ground hugging me tightly I just stood there in shock.

"I love you dude and I don't want you cutting yourself again okay sam said in a stern but soft voice. I just nodded hugging him back...

"Sam I said still hugging him. "Yes sam said looking at me. "I love you man more then I should I admitted looking down at the ground in shame.

"Dude I...love you but as a best friend a brother... Sam said looking at me. "I know I said trying to hold back tears.

"Colby don't cry please sam said in a soft voice. I look at the ground in shame. "I am sorry I said guilt in my voice. "Don't apologize unless you hurt me or do something bad Colby.

"O-okay I said with a fake smile.

I was always good at acting...

Even for the stupidest reasons like this...

"And don't cut yourself again colby sam said looking at me. "O-okay I said in a low voice close to a whisper. "Good night colby sam said walking out of my room.

I layed down Trying to sleep but I couldn't sleep it was now 3:39 am. sam came to check on me at 12:40 pm. I had been laying here for 3 hours.

I signed getting up and putting my joggers on but no shirt. I walked downstairs it was dark. no one was awake...

I walked into the kitchen grabbing a white claw out of the fridge takeing a sip of it leaning against the counter.

Corey got off the couch and came in the kitchen. "Yo colby what are you doing awake Corey said looking at me.

"Man I can't sleep what I would give for a fucking bottle of vodka right now I said closeing my eyes as I put my lips to the white claw can takeing a sip.

I sign gently as I pull the drink from my lips looking out the window in the kitchen. I inhale gently letting out a soft breath looking at the can in my hand.

"You good brother Corey said looking at me. "I am fine bro I said looking at him with a fake smile. I could tell he saw right through my fake smile.

"You can't use that fake smile against me and you know you can't Corey said looking at me with concern in his eyes.

"What's wrong colby Corey said looking at my wrists obviously noticeing the cuts and dark red lines on my wrists.

"Everything Corey I said as I felt my throat clog with emotion as my lip started quivering gently. I let out a choked sob tears slowly forming in the corner of my eyes slowly running down my pale face.

"Colby Corey said gently pulling me into a hug. I started to sob heavily trying to be as quite as possible but it did nothing I just sobbed louder...

I hugged Corey tighter as I heard footsteps come down the stairs. I kept my eyes closed not wanting to see anyone or anything...

Not even wanting anyone to see me like this Being weaker then I already am...

"Colby your okay Corey whispered in my ear. I opened my eyes as I stopped hugging Corey I looked at the ground in shame of crying in front of someone.

"Love you man Corey said looking at me. "Love you too I say looking back at him with a true smile. He smiled back. I picked my white claw up takeing a sip.

"You want something to eat bro I said pulling the can away from my lips setting it on the counter.

"You know I want something to eat especially if I don't have to cook it Corey said with a laugh. "Guys what the fuck are y'all doing up sam said from the stairs.

Corey immediately jumped into my arms. I held him like a baby. "Sam you gotta stop creeping up on me you creep Corey said as me and sam laugh.

"You good colby sam said looking at me with a small smile. "Yeah I said in a happy/cheerful voice looking at him.

Sam chuckled happy that I am happy.

He was always a good friend...

I really don't deserve him...

"Colby put me down Corey said snapping me out of though. "Oh yeah sorry I said setting Corey down.

I walked over to the cabinet opening it. "What do you want Corey I said looking at corey.

"Tacos Corey said looking at me. "Sam you want a taco I said looking at sam. "Yeah sure Sam said looking back at me with a smile.

"Okay I said walking over to the fridge grabbing the taco stuff and setting it on the counter. Sam and corey set at the dining room table playing Monopoly.

I put the meat and seasoning in the pot on the stove stering it every couple minutes. When the meat is done I grab a knife cutting the lettuce and tomato putting it on a plate.

"Sam Corey get your asses in here tacos are done I said looking at them. "Okay damn mom Corey said getting up. Sam started laughing at Corey's comment.

"Samuel John golbach stop laughing I said in a Karen voice looking at Sam. Corey started laughing at my voice. "Corey scherer stop laughing at my voice and come eat your food I said in a girl voice looking at Sam and corey.

They came in the kitchen and got there tacos and eating them. goofing off mostly as they ate I went upstairs getting into bed and laying down falling asleep a little while later to the silence of the house.
