Chapter Two

"Could you guys like back away from her a little bit?" Stiles asked, looking at Peter in sympathy. He got growls and hisses in response making him look offended at them. "Who is the one who feels the negative emotions here?" he asked, getting them to stop, "Thank you," he sassed, "She's feeling an emotional pain when Derek, Cora, or Charlie are in front of her," he revealed.

"Why?" Cora asked, seeming like she wanted to cry again.

"I think she may have been hallucinating and what the hunters were doing increased them, and maybe somehow induced or influenced them," Stiles said, "I've been watching, when Derek growled, her eyes were confused and then she felt pain. She felt shock when Cora had touched her hand, though, which is why I think she was hallucinating," he added.

"And they didn't know Stiles, Claudia, and I were a part of the pack cause the bitch started after Claudia started getting sick. She wouldn't know about Bella either," Noah added, getting what his son was saying.

They had gotten Peter back to the Stilinski house and currently she leaning against a blanket on the couch, her eyes looking around at her new environment. They had slowly started moving over in front of her and noticed she didn't look too happy seeing Cora, Derek, or Charlie, but look confused if Stiles, Noah, or Bella were in front of her.

"Peter," Charlie spoke, and took Peter's hand. He saw her flinch and it broke his heart."I am actually here, I promise. I'm so sorry it took so long to find you," he squeezed her hand more, intertwining their fingers. "We are in the Stilinski house, you are no longer in the rehab center. You are safe from them," he declared. Charlie watched as a tear fell down Peter's cheek and moved to wipe it away. He already assumed trying to wipe the wolfsbane away caused more pain and probably added to her confusion on whether she was having an hallucination or not.

Derek and Cora came forward and held Peter's unburnt arms and watched more tears fall down her eyes. It broke Derek and Cora to see their strong aunt like that, but they also knew they usually didn't see emotions like that from her since she was the left-hand of the pack, she likely hid her emotions.

Noah, with a little bit of knowledge from an emissary he met, made a little concoction that should take most of the wolfsbane off for Peter and help her heal quicker. He put on some think gloves before going back into the living room and started wiping her skin. Everyone temporarily left so Charlie could wipe down her breasts and upper thigh.

Soon they had moved her upstairs to her and Charlie's room and Cora and Derek spent time talking to her and catching up. "Oh and Bella was almost a victim of an asshole Cold One for being his bloodsinger," Cora mentioned and got a growl out of Peter.

"Dude," Bella said, standing in the door having heard from the other room.

"I said what I said, and what I said was the truth," Cora sassed.

"Yeah, but you didn't need to say it when your aunt is healing," Bella argued.

"True," Cora admitted, "But I wanted to make sure Peter still didn't like Cold Ones."

Peter let out a small growl, one Derek understood. "She doesn't necessarily hate them. She just hates the ones who kill without thinking. The leaders, she doesn't mind as long as the tactile mind reader doesn't touch her. The higher guard like her and so do the kings, so basically the Hale family and anybody associated with the Hale family is safe," he explained.

"So Rosalie?" Bella asked.

"Rosalie being our ancestor is safe from the Volturi unless she causes a crime," Derek explained.

Cora turned to Peter, "We found an animal eating clan, the one that had the asshole who tricked Bella, they have someone named Rosalie Hale who is one our human ancestors."

"Then Emmett being her mate, if confirmed by Marcus—he's one of the Kings who has the ability to see bonds—then he's safe. Jasper, if confirmed by Marcus to be a twin bond with Rosalie, is safe. Alice thinks she's safe cause she knows that information, but she doesn't know the Marcus part," Derek continued explaining.

"Wow," Bella said.

"Exactly," Cora added, "Also the "vegetarian" Cold Ones are looked down on which is another reason we don't care for the shapeshifters—,"

"There's a wolf shapeshifter pack near them," Derek now explained to Peter.

"They have an ego cause of Sam and cause of Jacob's lack of responsibility. We get the protecting humans part, that's great for them and we support it, but the forcing the Cullens to not feed from humans is where we have a problem, particularly for Jasper," Cora explained.

"How?"

"Because of the beginning of his vampire life, he knows his gift is more controllable if he drinks human blood. Then that incident at your birthday party wouldn't have happened because then he could've blocked the emotions temporarily," Cora pointed out.

"Again, that fucking virgin bastard," Bella said under her breath. They heard a huff from Peter and looked at her eyes again, "Did she laugh?" Bella questioned.

"I think she did," Cora said with wide eyes.

"Also, there's less animals in the world then humans. Population control," Derek pointed out.

"Okay kids," Charlie said, stepping in, "Time for bed."

"I'm in my twenties," Derek deadpanned.

"And you still live with me, bed time," Charlie argued. Derek huffed, giving Peter's healed arm a squeeze before leaving, Cora doing the same while Bella nervously went up and gave Peter's arm a squeeze, "I hope you get better soon, from what I've heard in this short of time, I would love to have you for a mom," she said quietly and left. Charlie watched his daughter go to the room her and Cora are sharing with a small smile. Peter would be good to have in Bella's life.

Charlie moved a recliner towards the bed, "If you're able to get up, you are more than welcome to get in the bed. I just put you in the recliner to give you a more comfortable place to heal," he spoke to his wife calmly. He still couldn't believe she was in front of him. He kissed a healed part of her forehead before getting into bed.

Charlie was startled awake. So were the others. Cora and Bella snapped awake, Cora with wide eyes and Bella in confusion. Stiles jumped out of his bed and was a pile of limbs on the floor—just because he was a fox doesn't mean he is graceful. Noah grabbed a gun on instinct with his eyes flashing. Derek wiped tears from his eyes as he snapped out his thoughts. "Peter!" they all hear Charlie yell and get out of bed. They hear woke them in the distance, it was a howl. They all ran out.

Derek and Cora howl when they exit the house startling Bella who hadn't heard that close to her and already figuring out it wasn't like the shapeshifters. A deep howl was heard in the distance and Derek and Cora with blue and gold eyes respectively ran out with Noah and Stiles following.

When they reached where the howl came from, deep in the trees, they see Peter standing there, her burns mostly healed. Her eyes glowed red as she turned back to them. In the distance of the trees, they hear a smaller, higher-pitched howl making Charlie gasp and Derek and Cora's eyes widen.

"What's going on?" Bella asked Noah who also looked shocked.

"She's calling Malia. Malia's alive."
