The bus rumbled along, its passengers blissfully unaware of the unfolding drama. Somi, fueled by her mischievous spirit, couldn't resist capturing a candid picture of Kyungjun sleeping. However, her attempt at documenting the serene moment was cut short when Jinha and Seungbin caught her in the act, scolding her for violating Kyungjun's privacy. Somi dismissed their concerns, asserting that Kyungjun could use a little admiration and that he looked handsome even in slumber.
Jinha: (noticing Somi taking a picture) "Seriously, Somi? You're taking a picture of Kyungjun while he's sleeping?."
Seungbin: (raising an eyebrow) "Not cool, Somi. He probably wouldn't appreciate that."
Somi: (grinning mischievously) "Oh, relax! It's just a picture. Besides, he could use a little appreciation. Look how handsome he is even when he's asleep."
Jinha: (crossing his arms) "Somi, that's an invasion of privacy."
Seungbin: "Yeah, Kyungjun might not like it if he finds out."
Somi: (rolling her eyes) "Come on, guys, lighten up! I'm just admiring his charm. What harm could a picture do?."
Jinha: (sighing) "Just be careful, Somi. Kyungjun's not someone to mess with."
Seungbin: "We're telling you for your own good."
Undeterred, Somi continued defending her actions, convinced that a sleeping Kyungjun was a moment worth capturing.
Somi proudly showcased the captured moment to Nahee, Jisoo, and Yoojoon, emphasizing Kyungjun's undeniable charm. Jisoo, known for her straightforwardness, suggested that Somi confess her feelings to Kyungjun. Somi hesitated, claiming Kyungjun was playing hard to get, yet her fondness for him lingered.Somi: (proudly showing the picture) "Look at this, guys! Isn't Kyungjun just charming even when he's sleeping?."
Nahee: (smirking) "I never thought I'd see the day when Somi becomes a secret admirer."
Jisoo: (bluntly) "Why don't you just confess your feelings to him?."
Somi: (hesitant) "Confess? Come on, Jisoo, Kyungjun is playing hard to get."
Yoojoon: (teasing) "Hard to get or not interested?."
Somi: (defensive) "He's just mysterious. I'm sure he likes the attention."
Jisoo: (smirking) "Well, then, why not tell him you admire him so much, even in his sleep?."
Somi: (blushing) "It's not that simple, you know?."
Yoojoon : (teasing) "Somi, afraid of facing Kyungjun's charm head-on?."
Somi: (blushing deeper) "Maybe a little."
The group chuckled, knowing Somi's pride was battling with her hesitations when it came to Kyungjun.
Nahee, however, quietly pondered the dynamics between Kyungjun and Yoonseo, acknowledging the stark differences between them. She had observed Yoonseo stealing glances at Kyungjun when she thought no one was looking, and wondered why Yoonseo hadn't confessed yet. Nahee decided to keep this observation to herself, respecting Yoonseo's privacy, as she believed that there might be more to their story than meets the eye.
The rhythmic hum of the bus engine blended with the lively chatter behind them, yet Yoonseo remained stoic, her gaze fixed ahead. Jungwon, sensing the undertones in Somi's conversation, glanced at Yoonseo, who maintained a poker face. Yoonseo heard every word about Kyungjun – Somi's feelings, the puzzlement surrounding his interactions, and his enigmatic aura.
She was well aware of Somi's crush on Kyungjun, witnessing the constant attempts to get closer, despite Kyungjun's apparent disinterest. A wave of relief washed over Yoonseo, grateful that Kyungjun had been indifferent to Somi's advances. She couldn't fathom Kyungjun with someone like Somi, whose persistence bordered on obsession.
Yoonseo listened, her thoughts drifting to her own silent feelings for Kyungjun. His anger, the walls he built around himself – it fascinated and intrigued her. She stole glances when he appeared less intimidating, caught in moments of vulnerability that only fueled her curiosity. However, confessing her feelings seemed impossible with the air of hostility that surrounded Kyungjun. The trio of Jungwon, Junhee, and Seeun never missed an opportunity to tease her about this unexpected crush, raising questions she couldn't answer herself.
They were also privy to the unspoken feelings she harbored for Junhee. Apologies were offered when Junhee and Seeun became a couple, a twist of fate that left Yoonseo navigating her own emotions. In the weeks following their relationship, Yoonseo found herself unable to escape the magnetic pull of Kyungjun's presence, a force that grew more undeniable with each passing day. Yet, she chose to bury those emotions, navigating the delicate balance between attraction and the fear of rejection, unaware of the profound impact this tangled web of feelings would have on her journey during the ominous mafia game.
The destination had finally arrived, and the students spilled out of the bus, eager to begin their field trip. Yoonseo and Jungwon were about to join the crowd when Junhee and Seeun halted them, gesturing towards Kyungjun, still slumbering in his seat. The others had already disembarked, leaving Kyungjun in a peaceful state of unawareness.
Jungwon, always practical, noted that someone needed to wake Kyungjun before he awoke on his own, potentially unleashing his usual fury. She nudged Yoonseo, who glanced over at the sleeping Kyungjun with a mixture of hesitation and determination. Junhee, taking notice, offered to carry her bag, lightening her load for the impending encounter.
As they approached Kyungjun, who remained undisturbed by the commotion around him, Seungbin and Jinha's reluctance to wake him was discussed. The consensus was that they were probably fearful of Kyungjun's potential wrath. Junhee, with a knowing smile, suggested Yoonseo take on the task.
Jungwon reassured Yoonseo, mentioning that Kyungjun rarely directed his anger towards girls. Additionally, Yoonseo's lack of fear toward Kyungjun's anger issues became apparent to everyone.
With a deep breath, Yoonseo prepared to wake Kyungjun, grateful for the support and encouragement from her friends. Before making their way down the bus, Junhee and Seeun offered their good luck wishes for waking up their sometimes difficult, always mysterious classmate.
Yoonseo approached the still-sleeping Kyungjun with cautious steps. Tapping his shoulder gently and calling his name, she hoped to rouse him from his slumber. However, Kyungjun merely stirred, not fully awakening. Gathering her courage, Yoonseo took a deep breath, shook his shoulder a bit more firmly, and called his name louder.
Yoonseo: "Kyungjun, we've arrived. Wake up."
Kyungjun slowly opened his eyes, rubbing them, looking at Yoonseo with confusion.
Yoonseo: "Everyone else has already left. We need to go."
Kyungjun, now more alert, nodded. He stood up, slung his bag over his shoulder, and walked past Yoonseo without uttering a word.
As he passed, Yoonseo couldn't help muttering a quiet "rude" under her breath.
Yoonseo: (muttering) "Rude."
Unexpectedly, Kyungjun turned back to her. She froze, waiting for his reaction. To her surprise, he thanked her for waking him up, acknowledging that she could have just left him be. Yoonseo, still taken aback, mumbled a quick "you're welcome," watching as Kyungjun left the bus. Wondering if he had overheard her calling him rude, Yoonseo felt a mix of relief and curiosity about Kyungjun's unexpected gratitude.
