Dinner that night was far from boring.

Willow found herself seated next to Cedar, exchanging a few whispers about the day's activities. Arya, at the head of the table, appeared more composed than usual, her gaze not as cutting as before when it fell on Willow.

The scent of spices lingered in the air as they all dug into a steaming pot of curry. Amidst the clinking of utensils and the murmurs of conversation, Apollo, who sat near the head of the table, abruptly stood up, his voice cutting through the chatter.

"Hey everyone, can I have your attention for a moment?" Apollo's vibrant eyes scanned the faces, a confident smile playing on his lips. "I've been thinking about how we can strengthen our pack, enhance our hunting strategies, and maybe even expand our territories."

Arya's expression remained stoic, observing Apollo with a subtle raise of her brow. Cedar, beside Willow, leaned in attentively, intrigued by what Apollo had to say.

"I believe we could benefit from exploring new territories," Apollo continued, gesturing with animated gestures. "Not just for hunting but also for potential alliances or trades with neighbouring packs. It'll expand our resources and open up new possibilities for us."

Whispers and murmurs spread across the table, some nodding in agreement while others exchanged uncertain glances. Arya maintained a composed facade, her gaze assessing Apollo's proposal.

Willow felt a sense of anticipation flutter within her chest, curious about the reactions and the direction the conversation would take. She glanced at Cedar, noticing the thoughtful expression etched on his face as he listened intently.

"I also think it's time we consider some advancements in our hunting strategies," Apollo added. "Some innovative techniques might help us secure better game and provisions, ensuring our pack's well-being."

Arya remained composed, a hint of contemplation in her eyes. The rest of the pack exchanged glances, some nodding in agreement while others appeared hesitant, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern.

As Apollo's words settled among the pack, Arya rose to her feet, her posture exuding an air of authority. The murmurs dwindled into a hush as all eyes turned toward her.

"Apollo, I respect your intentions, but our pack has thrived for centuries following our ways," Arya began, her tone firm yet measured. "We've always stood strong on our own. We don't need to seek alliances or expand into unfamiliar territories. Our ways have sustained us, and they will continue to do so."

Her words resonated with some members of the pack, who nodded in agreement, their expressions mirroring Arya's steadfast conviction. Nyx, seated further down the table, echoed her sentiment with a nod, affirming her belief in the pack's self-sufficiency.

Arya's stance, steeped in the pack's tradition and history, drew support from those who held steadfast to the established norms. Cedar, sitting beside Willow, cast a glance between Arya and Apollo, his expression reflective and contemplative.

"But Arya, what if there's more we could explore, different opportunities out there?" Apollo interjected, his tone respectful but resolute.

Arya met his gaze, her own unwavering. "Our strength lies in our unity and our loyalty to our traditions. We have managed well, and we'll continue to do so. We don't need to rely on others. We are strong enough."

Apollo persisted, his voice carrying a fervent undertone as he continued to advocate for his ideas, trying to sway Arya and the others. Despite Arya's increasing frustration, Apollo pressed on, outlining the potential benefits of seeking alliances and exploring new territories.
