Why the hell does this have to happen every time? Can I not be late for a flight just once? "dammit" I mumble as I stumble out of the washroom and into a boy who I'm assuming is late for his flight too.
"Hello" I sarcastically say, while rolling my eyes.
"I am so sorry!" He gives an apologetic expression and picked up my plane ticket that I Un noticeably dropped. He hands it to me and introduces him self as Jack. I give a friendly smile,
But as I'm about to introduce myself too, a little boy, that looks about 6 years old yells from a little bit away, "JACK, HURRY I WANT TO SAY GOODBYE!". His little frown was adorable.
"One sec!" Jack says with another apologetic smile. I giggle and walk with a slower pace, in the same direction, I don't want to stand there beside him awkwardly while he says goodbye to what looks like, his family, so I continue walking. Our eyes meet for a moment and he hurries the goodbyes.
I hear quickening footsteps behind me, "Wait up!" He says and I turn around.
He catches up and we continue to walk to where my flight takes off.
"So I never got your name?" He says.
"It's Sara" I smile.
"And are you on the flight to Detroit as well?"
"Yes" I reply.
"Would you care to sit with me? My friends are all on different flights so I'm alone." He says in a mature voice with a funny face.
I must say he was really cute, wow.
"Sure" I giggle, "But were already a little late so maybe we should run before they take off without us?" I laugh a little more.
"Race you!" He says and starts running.
I've always placed first in races and anything to do with running actually, so I catch up and pull ahead in seconds. Arriving first.
He's completely out of breathe by the time he gets to me, "how the hell did you do that?!" He coughs.
I shrug my shoulders and get on the plane, getting into the window seat he follows me, sitting beside. Breathing heavily beside me, I laugh a bit and shake my head.
