“Oh, yeah- I almost forgot.” Mark, Michael's friend that wore the Bonnie mask said as he stopped walking and looked at his friends that were walking with him. “Mike, do you want to hang out with us tonight? We were planning on checking out that new record store that just opened up.”

“What? Really? Why didn't you guys tell me sooner? I would love to go.” Michael told him.

“Amazing, I thought I was going to be the only one stuck with these losers.” Simon, the one that wore the Chica mask teased.

“Losers!? The last I checked you were the one that said Queen sucked!” The Freddy mask, Fredrick yelled at Simon.

“You have problems if you think Queen sucks, man.” Michael told Simon.

“They're just not my music type. I like The Rolling Stones better.”

“They make just about the same music.”

“Whatever man! I just don't like Queen's music.”

Michael shrugged. “Eh- I could get that I guess. It's just like me saying  that Led Zeppelin doesn't make good music.” Michael said knowing it would get a rise out of Simon since it was one of his favorite bands.

“You can't say that! They are some of the best music writers out there!”

“Can you guys just shut the fuck up!? I don't want to be standing in the middle of this empty hallway after school has already ended like an idiot!” Fredrick yelled at the two arguing.

“Jeez- Who woke up a little cranky this morning?” Mark leaned closed to Michael and Simon to whisper.

“Is something wrong?” Simon asked Fredrick.

“Nothing's wrong- I just didn't get much sleep last night from studying for a math test I had today.” Fredrick said in an annoyed tone from how loud his friends were being.

“That's harsh man.” Mark said.

“Yeah, no dip jackass.”

“No need to get mad at me- I wasn't the one yelling-” Mark began to get upset from the name calling.

“Hey you know what? Why don't we just walk there now before one of us starts a fist fight and hates another's guts for the rest of high school.” Michael stepped in to try and calm Fredrick down.

“That's a good idea.” Simon ushered his friends to the entrance of the school.

“Cool they have it!” Michael said excitedly as he found the Madonna vinyl he had been looking for for months.

“What did you find?” Fredrick said as he walked up behind Michael with a coffee in his hand.

“The Madonna record I had been looking for.” Michael handed in to Fredrick to look at.

“Oh that is cool. Never heard of her, but cool.”

“She just started making music recently. It's her first album to be released.”

Fredrick handed the record back. “You should get it.”

“I don't know… My dad will probably try to break it….”

“Just hide it with the rest of the ones you have. He hasn't found any of those yet.”

“I guess…”

“Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow. I'm going to head home since it's getting dark out.” Fredrick took a sip of his coffee and patted Michael on the back before.

“Alright… See you tomorrow.”

Michael walked over to where Mark and Simon were standing. “I’m going to go pay for what I have and leave if that's alright with you guys.”

“Yeah it’s fine but where did Fredrick go?” Mark asked.

“He already left because he said it was getting dark and he wasn’t going to buy anything anyway.”

“Stay safe man, see ya.” Simon said as he and Mark waved goodbye to Michael.

Michael went up to the register at the front of the store and paid for the Madonna album and left the shop. As he stepped outside he looked around at his surroundings and up at the starry sky. “Jeez, Fredrick wasn’t kidding when he said it was getting dark out…” Michael quietly said to himself.

Michael pulled out his phone and dialed his father’s number and waited for an answer but after about six rings Michael shut his phone and put it back into his pocket, cursing under his breath.

“That asshole, he wouldn’t even care if I went missing out of nowhere…” Michael looked through the window of the record shop and thought of going back inside to ask Mark or Simon but decided he didn’t want to bother them with his own problems and thought he should just walk home instead.

And so he did. Michael began walking home through the dark streets passing by ominous people that he couldn’t just make out the faces of but one out of all of them stood out the most. A man Michael had passed just 5 minutes prior was following him

At this point Michael was getting freaked out by the man and started to walk faster without trying to make it obvious to the stranger behind him.

The stranger noticed Michael’s panicked body movements and also started to walk faster after him.

With the man speeding up his walking behind Michael, Michael looked back at the man for a second then ran as fast as he could down the block.

The stranger following Michael cursed loudly and ran after Michael, eventually catching up to him and grabbing Michael’s arm so he wouldn’t be able to get away anymore.

“LET GO OF ME!” Michael yelled as he struggled to get away from the man

“Shut it brat.” The man, being much stronger than Michael, pulled him into a dark alley and bit into Michael’s neck.

Michael made a sound of pain and tried to push the man away without success. “AH- WHAT THE HELL!? GET OFF OF ME!”

The man began to drink Michael’s blood, taking the very source of his life essence.

The more Michael struggled the faster his blood pumped making it easier for the man to take his blood.

Michael felt woozy from the blood loss and like he was going to pass out. Just as Michael’s eyes fluttered shut the man backed away from Michael, wiping his mouth of the blood dripping from it and letting Michael’s weak and unconscious body fall to the cold ground.
