Yule and Resources for Palestine

Hello hello lovely people,
Happy Yuletide and happy winter :)
I hope you're all doing great and the last weeks haven't been too stressful for you (they have been for me, but now it's all over)

I thought the best gift is always to help others, so I have compiled a list of videos, articles and other stuff about Palestine/ for helping the people in Palestine.

(There are a lot of links, if you are on the desktop web version, you should be able to copy them, otherwise I will put them in a linktree and share that in the comments and in my announcemens)

(Before anyone wants to "debate" or tell me why the Palestinian people are bad, or I should support Israel:

- I do not support Hamas, they are separate from the civilian population of Palestine ! (yes even tho Israel claims otherwise)
- I don't give a dam fuck if you tell me that I would be killed in Gaza for being queer, all people deserve basic human rights.
- No anti-zionism is not the same as antisemitism
- No I do not want the Israeli people to die.
- No what's going on in Palestine is not a typical war, it's an asymmetric war and a genocide.
- I am not going to debate with anyone about Palestine.
- Please unfollow and block me in case you support genocide (I don't hope so, but in that case it'd be better for both of us)
-If you leave any snarky comments about how the people of Palestine deserve to die or similar, I will block you.

So now that the zionists have left their unnecessary comments or have just left altogether, onto the things that you can do to help:

Probably the most important one is education: inform yourself about the current situation and it's history and inform the people around or use your platform on the internet to inform others. If you feel like you're "not educated enough to inform others" spread sources of education, like these:

Read books!! About Palestine specifically there's
- Freedom is a constant struggle: Ferguson, Palestine and the foundations of a movement by Angela Y Davis (I have yet to finish it, but Angela Y Davis is practically a leftist saint lol)
- The idea of Israel, the ethnic cleansing of Palestine and Israel and South Africa by Ilan Pappe
- Israel and Palestine by Avi Shlaim
- And you can also just generally educate yourself about racism and islamophobia, both of which play a role in the genocide, for starters I can recommend reading young adult books such as "The hate you give" by Angie Thomas (She writes beautifully, her other vooks are also definitely worth reading)

And these are just a few resources, there are so many more, you could honestly probably also read up  stuff about the history of the genocide on Wikipedia, a lot of the stuff in the videos is public knowledge, it's oftentimes just hidden)

Boycotts:
You probably have already heard about the boycotts and there is a huuuuge list of companies that you could boycott because they support Israel, however boycotts don't work if everyone is focused on different companies, so there's a list by the boycott, divest and sanctions movement:
Thes are the ones they encourage consumers to boycott:

-hp (the tech company that for example makes printers)
-Siemens
- AXA (they're a bank so you probably can't boycott them if you're under 18, but still)
- Puma
- Israeli fruit and vegetables (they are often illegally produced on Palestinian land)

In addition to those boycotts, there are also a lot of people boycotting Starbucks and McDonald's.  And at least the Starbucks ones could be working, some employees have reported less customers and Starbucks has started to give out free stuff (also I've never in my life been to Starbucks, but I've heard that their coffee is bad and your local coffee shops and cafes probably have better drinks anyway)

And lastly there's donations and supporting Palestinian companies.
Even if you can't directly donate money, you can still help, for example by posting a video on tiktok, with a filter made for Palestine (if the filters reach a particular amount of users the creators who are supported by tiktoks creator program get money). And these videos can even be posted on private (so only you can see them).
