"Member change, Furihata-kun. You're up"

"Huh?!?!?"

"Izuki-kun" said the only girl in their team, their beta coach, Riko. With that she sent Furihata forward but on the other hand he was stiff as hell and was breathing heavily.

'calm down.......calm down.......calm down....... you've been wishing for this for a long time, and that day has finally arrived. I'll be okay, it'll be okay.' thought Furihata and with that he stepped his one leg inside the white line. The moment he stepped in he was overwhelmed by the atmosphere around him. The loud shouting of the audience and the dizzying atmosphere.

He kept saying himself that it'll be okay and walk forward to Izuki, His senior. The beta said that his mark is number 4 and said something else too but he couldn't catch that as he walked like a robot. While he was walking weirdly, Kagami said something that he didn't understand properly as his mind was not working. 'Do your best?? Huh? Something tasty??' as he kept walking he didn't even sense or see the blue haired beta who was trying to encourage him and kept walking forward towards his mark.

The omega finally stood infront of him, who is supposed to be is his mark, number 4 who was not too tall then him but looked very scary.

"What the..... They send tense up first year?" Said the beta with very angry and aggressive face. 'This is impossible!! He's too scary' said Furihata while trembling like a leaf and sweating all over the face.

The game started as their captain throw ball to Furihata with "let's go" but when Furihata started to dribble the ball, it slipped from his hand and went straight to kasamatsu. Everyone was very worried for him but kuroko pushed the ball to the omega from the beta's hand and said "Furihata-kun, it's all right, during my debut game, I tripped and got a nosebleed." with a small smile.

"Kuroko........ seriously?"asked Furihata with mixed emotions. Wherever to be mad for making him more scared or be happy that he was trying to console him. Or laugh at him for saying such a thing while smiling.

"I'm serious" said kuroko while finally realising that instead of make things better he was making it even worse.

On the other side his friends on the beach were very worried about him but their seniors console them that every thing will be okay.

Furihata started to charge forward while dribbling the ball when kasamatsu stood infront of him. "Hey!" said Kagami and Furihata gave the ball to him. And then Kagami was face to face with Kise Ryota. Furihata's job was to slow the pace. When he saw that the red head Alpha was very angry and trying to rush he stopped him.

"Kagami, stop. C-c-cal-calm down!." said Furihata while trembling and stuttering. Kasamatsu who was marking him was in disbelief, the one who was trembling like a leaf is saying other to calm down.

"Huh? What!? You're the one who needs to calm down." said Kagami who was in disbelief too and pass the ball to someone else instead of going one-on-one with the blonde haired beta.

Slowly but surely they manage to make a basket. "Alright" said their beta captain while rubbing Furihata's hair. "Nice pass, Furi!" said his senior kiyoshi. "Looks like you've relaxed a bit."

'We score' thought Furihata with a smile.

"Man, to tough. I'm gonna die!! Where's our senior?" said Fukuda. The three first year trio was washing their head after the very tough training. "They said they're gonna practice more." said Furihata who just finished washing his head and face with the tap water. "Are they really human like us?" said the tallest alpha among them. " You know...... I'm thinking about quitting the basketball team....." Said Kawahara with sadness in his face. With that both others attention was on him now. "What's all this now? If we do our best, I'm sure......" Said the Alpha among them trying to comfort his friend.

At that time the light and shadow duo of their team saw them while talking.

"I love basketball but....... Kagami and Kuroku, as well as our seniors, are really amazing. It takes my all just to keep up in practice. I feel like no matter how hard I try, it's impossible to get in a game" said the beta with tears in his eyes. "Kawahara......"said Fukuda.

Both Fukuda and Furihata was looking at his face with the understanding feeling. The light and shadow duo was also watching them from afar.

"I actually thought the same thing before" said Furihata while looking down. Upon hearing that all of them looked at him. " Looking at someone like Kagami, anyone will think that he's on a different level" all of their focus was on Furihata. He said with small smile" but when i look at Kuroko, i think he really is an amazing guy....... But maybe there's still something that even i can do." ' even though I'm an omega there's still things that even i can do' thought Furihata.

"Even if i'm a benchwarmer till the end, I want to playing basketball with them. If I quit now, I'll probably regret it" said Furihata with the determination to do his best in every thing even if he is an omega. Both the first year watching him smiled and agreed with him. The duo looking at them from far were shocked and happy of what they heard from their coward friend. They too agreed to do their best to win against all their opponents.

Before they can score Kagami caught the ball and throw it the opposite side and before their opponents can catch the ball Kuroko pass the ball to Furihata, who caught the ball and scored.

Everyone was very happy specially Fukuda and Kawahara. Furihata was in daze, because he can't believe he make his first basket. When he was walking to his position he saw kuroko and Kagami giving their hand to clap ( I don't know what it is called to clap two people's hands, if you know tell me and I will correct it later) . Kagami said "Nice shot. Furi". When Furi saw their hands he smiled and clapped both their hand with joy.

Someone from far with the mismatch eye colour was looking at them too, with a very serious face.

Kaijo High called for a break and they all went to the beach. "I'm swapping you out Furihata-kun. Good job." Said their coach with a thump up and a smile.

"Ah! Thanks" said the omega who was very happy that he finally got to play and even scored. And with that their coach started to tell them her plan.

'We won..... We won.....we won' thought Furihata. They finally won the game after doing all their best. That means they are finally at the finals now. They were all cheering and smiling. Then again Furihata flinch and look here and there for any evidence for his this state. It's the same stare he felt that time too. And like before he couldn't find from whom it was coming from.

When they all were on their way to go home kuroko stopped them all.

"I have something to tell you all about........ Akashi-kun........"
