The bus rumbled down the road. I look out the window, watching the trees and cars streak by. Funny how that works, nature and machine, coexisting.

"Hey Drew!", a voice calls. My friend Jake clambers onto the bus. Jake is a big guy and is not the nimblest person in the world. I have know Jake since kindergarten and he is a loyal friend.

"Sup Jake. How was your morning?"

"Not bad. Probably would of been better if I wasn't alive." That's the other thing about Jake, he hates himself.

"Come on Jake, you know that's not true!"

"Yeah. I guess your right. Did you remember to read chapters 16 and 18 for English last night?"

"Shit! I totally forgot!"

"I knew you would so I brought the book on the bus for you!"

"Thanks man!" I said, already deep into chapter 16.

School starts and I walk into my 1st hour. I sit down and place my books on my desk. Then something really strange happens. A girl I've never seen before walks into class. She sits down in the far seat in the back and then puts her black army boots up on the desk. There were 2 words to describe her, beautiful and badass. I barely heard the bell ring. I just then realized that I was gawking at her like a idiot. What the hell was I thinking? I don't even know who she is! I turn around and science begins.

"Ok class, today we will dissect frogs!" Mr. Holman exclaims. Half the class makes choking sounds as I roll my eyes. Teens are so immature. Mr. Holman starts calling up kids to get their frogs. When I go up I see the girl walk up too.

"Drew you will be paired up with... With... What's your name again?"

"Anna", the girl says. Oh my god! Her voice is so pretty too!

"Drew you will be paired with Anna"

"Nice to meet you."

"N-Nice to meet you too", I say blushing. We walk to our table and unseal the rubbery corpse. We cut through it and find organs and check them off on the worksheet. We finished so early we had nothing else to do so we messed around with the frog opening his stomach and things like that.

The rest of the day zoomed by in an instant. It's strange though, Anna is in every single one of my classes and I haven't noticed her until today. I walk like a machine to the bus and daydream on the way home.
