It was around 4:30am when I woke up. I hadn't been able to sleep properly for weeks now. These past few weeks had been the worst in my entire life. Losing people so close to me was enough to break me.

Quietly, I slid downstairs. A picture frame had been hung on the wall opposite the stairs. A women, a man and a young girl were in the picture. Their faces had been covered in black ink. I had tried to forget what happened. That very moment when they would breathe for the last time.

Searching through the cupboards, my hand brushed against a packet of crisps. I took the packet out of the cupboard and ripped them open. It didn't take long before the bag was empty. Not only had I not slept well, I had also neglected my healthy diet.

Living alone was hard. Harder than I could ever have imagined. But there was something I couldn't explain. Even though they weren't with me, I felt as if my family were still there. Shaking the thought of them being alive again out of my head, I walked upstairs to get ready for the day.

I glanced out of the window in the bathroom. The sky was still quite dark. I was about to look away when I saw something quite odd. A bright light was shooting towards me. Whatever it was crashed outside my house and I quickly ran downstairs.

As I stepped outside, the floor was cold beneath my feet. There was a dip in the ground where the light had fallen. In the dip was a ball. It was glowing. I reached for it, it burnt my hand but I lifted it up. Suddenly, lights shot from the ball. Before I could do anything, co was inside my house. How did I get in here? I asked myself.

Who knows..

Well. That's about it for now. Apologies for my horrific writing skills.
