Dear Diary,
Hi! My name is Wendy and this really I guess isn't your normal diary. It's not going to be some huge thing! I could tell you more but.... oh well you'll see. Love and hugs ~Wendy Cannon.~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Walking down the high school halls it felt like I was a top dog. Everyone parted ways just to get away from me. Why you ask? The coolest seniors in our school finally accepted me into their group, of course you're thinking oh gosh not another one of these guys. But yes it's true, it's an amazing feeling honestly. Knowing you have so much power right in your hands.
I turned down the hallway and saw the girl. I knew exactly what to do.
I put my body up against the locker beside hers and put my hands in my pockets. "Dang girl, your sun glasses are so da-"
She slammed her locker and arranged her bag on her shoulder. "I'm blind." I stood there frozen with my mouth hanging open. Suddenly all that confidence I had been feeling was gone. I felt like a huge jerk, I had just offended some poor blind girl!
"I know you're still here so don't try to act like you're not."
"I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't know you were-"
"Eh it's okay. But since you offended me and my entire family I guess you'll have to be my servant for the entire day so I don't have to walk with the nerdy office helpers." She smiled and kinda laughed. Then she moved closer to my face. "You really didn't offend me, I'm just joking."
A small sigh escaped me. "So you're not going to plan to kill me?" She started walking as I followed beside her.
"Not today. Maybe someday." This girl was more confident then anyone in this school. "Anyways, my first class is history for juniors. I am guessing that you are also a Junior?"
I took my hands and placed them in my pockets again. "You guessed correctly. I'm Ethan by the way."
She nodded. "What do you look like Ethan?"
I looked at her and raised my eyebrow. Forgetting she couldn't see me. "What?"
"Ugh, for God's sake, okay again I'm blind. I can't see you. That is what it means to be blind! So if you could kindly describe yourself so I know you're not some hoodrat trying to steal my money and my virginity." She was so animated while talking, probably because she couldn't use her eyes as a way to express herself.
"Oh yeah, uh sorry.. I'm not going to do either of those so uh don't worry." We started walking up the stairs so I carefully watched to make sure she didn't fall. "I'm six foot one, I have dark black-"
"You don't have to say dark black, black is already a dark color so it's just black." The girl corrected me. Sighing I continued.
"Okay, I have black hair. It's not curly, it's kinda long. Um I've got brown eyes, I guess you could say I'm tan. I'm somewhat fit, I'm not like chunky but I'm no ripped you know?"
She snorted. "Sure."
"What's your name anyways?" We had done all this talking about me but nothing about her.
"My name is Wendy, I've been blind since probably second grade. My mom always used to tell me that it was because I looked at the sun took long. I have short wavy brown hair, I've got some chunk in my abdomen area but other than that I'm pretty good looking." Snorting again she flipped her hair in a joking way.
"You do know I can see right?" She hit my arm after I said that. Surprisingly she hit it square on without really knowing where I was.
"Shut up boy. You're still in trouble for trying to manipulate me, a poor disabled young girl."
