Chapter 6

SHANAYA'S POV

After checking my boss's text, I felt my soul leaving the body. How can that jerk be gentle and caring??? I AM SHOCKED!!!

Besides it made me smile. Maybe some sides of him are invisible to me...

The exhaustion level was at its peak today. Soon I was called for dinner.

I tried to stand up from the bed; my legs felt weak, but I managed to walk down.

Today was the first day when I didn't get any interest at dinner. Nor the food was interesting nor were the conversations. Everyone was just gossiping about my day at the office and my health.

I managed to answer them and soon I returned to my room.

I was not feeling well, so in no time, I fell asleep.

The fucking alarm kept ringing. And soon I turned it off finding it's 7:15. FUCK! I AM LATE!

I quickly hurried to the washroom. I took a cold shower so I could have the energy today for work.

After taking a shower, I quickly wore my dress. Grabbing my bag and half-charged phone I ran downstairs. It was almost 7:50, so I just had my coffee.

Going empty stomach! God, please save me today!

The driver was ready so I quickly sat in the car and went on my way.

I kept watching the time and fuck, there is so much traffic today!

I soon reached the office and took a deep breath. Yesterday, I fainted right here! Hope it won't happen again!

I quickly went to the reception just to find that I was marked late now.

Though I don't care it's fine.

As I walked through the lobby, everyone on the way looked at me. All wide eyes were on me! Why? I don't know...

When I reached my department, all the faces turned to me like I was a bride. They stared and then they gossiped. I ignored them and walked to my desk. Naina was already there.

"Hey! It's 8:20, you are late today?" Naina softly asked.

"Hey! Yeah..." I sat on my chair and took a breath of relief.

"How are you feeling now?"

"I am well. I don't know why the hell everyone was staring at me in the office."

She giggled. I raised my brow to her.

"Oh come on, yesterday you fainted and the new, handsome boss carried you in his wide arms and his Lamborghini, it was just a wow scene."

"Huh! It incidentally happened."

She was going to reply until a guy interrupted us.

"Miss Shanaya? Boss is calling you in his office."He smiled.

My breath hitches and my heart skips a beat whenever this man calls me duh!!! Naina glared at me.

"Oh come on!" I whispered to her.

"Okay, you go I am coming," I replied to the guy who went back after my words.

I walked to his office and knocked on the glass door. A hum appeared as an answer. I walked inside. He was sitting on his chair, working on the laptop. He was wearing a black coat and spectacles. OH MY GOD, HE LOOKS SO DASHING IN SPECTACLES.

Sometimes I forget that I hate him.

Getting back to the planet, I said,

"Yes sir!"
