Mielle's Perspective
“K-kuya, sa may 16th ave nga po.”
She was too drunk enough to give directions sa grab driver. Late na nyang narealize na she already put her address bago pa tanggapin ng grab driver nya ang book nya pauwi sa apartment nya.
She didn't know na maiiwan sya ng mga tropa nya.
Pagtataka niyang tanong sa sarili, even though she is wasted, she still has her conscious mind to think of things na dapat niyang naisip kanina pa bago siya malasing.
She didn't bother to look at the plate number of the black toyota fortuner, since she knew naman na its her grab driver na nakapark sa harap nya, kaya without a haste, she went inside and mindlessly told her address for the second time.
Marami siyang tanong sa sarili niya. About what happened between her now ex-boyfriend. Hindi siya makapaniwala sa nangyari, her bestfriend had the audacity to do that to her. Ang lokohin siya at paniwalain na she was just busy pero she was betraying Mielle harap-harapan pa.
At nakakapagtaka pa, yung grab driver niya. He asks too much questions, whether if she was alone, kung okay lang ba siya and he even asked kung bakit siya naglalasing. She noted the familiarity of his voice.
“Miss Mielle, are you okay ba? Magisa ka lang ba diyan? And bakit ka nga ba naglasing?”
Tanong ni kuya driver sa kanya. Wala siyang ganang sinagot si kuya driver.
“Kuya, ang dami mong tanong ha. Just pick me up here sa club. Salamat.”
And besides, they don't have to talk to us ah. Weird.
“Ay, sorry po. Concern lang naman, at tsaka babae ka. Mahirap na po Miss.”
In her wasted state, she cannot see his face. She is trying to take a glimpse of his face, the only description that she has is the guy's black cap and how his voice sounds familiar.
“W-wait k-kuya, why do you sound familiar po? Y-you sound familiar kasi.”
There was a silence after her question. The atmosphere became tense, but the driver managed to reply back. Randam man ang kaba sa kanyang boses, he was quick to show his caring side sa kanyang lasing na pasahero.
“Ay, di mo sure. hahahahaha. Baka may kaboses lang ako. Pahinga ka na dyan Miss Mielle. And if nauuhaw ka, we can stop by the nearest store, bibilhan kita ng mineral water to sober you up.”
He softly smiled. Hindi pa rin siya nagbabago. She's still the same girl he fell inlove all those years ago.
