Unexpected Day

*Ding. "Welcome in! What would you like for today?" I asked as the woman in a black blazer decided on an order. "Ok, that will be $16.99 . Be ready in about five minutes. "Gliz, I need this to be on that table right in the corner. Hurry up, too!" "K, Aliyah." As I speed walk to the corner table next to the door, a man in an expensive looking suit pushes me, slamming me and the steaming mocha off my tray onto my shirt. I brace myself as I would have thought of falling on the cold floor, but surprisingly, a pair of strong arms grabbed me roughly, but lightly. I could smell a light scent of expensive cologne. "Are you alright?" "Um, yeah, I guess." "You're burned, are you sure?" "Uh-

"Yoon!" We both look forward to the woman dressed in heavy winter clothes.

"Come on, let's get this over with!"

"Hush, not so loud, Lia!" I hear the guy whisper, who I suppose is Yoon.

I look in wonder, thinking of what they could be hiding. I got some paper towels and water to clean the spill . "I want 2 million NOW!" My eyes widened, hearing the large number. "I thought you said one. Why did you raise the price?"
"I wanted to be at my family's beach house for Christmas, but here we are. I wouldn't have taken this deal if I knew you would be stingy this time."
I look at the man in disbelief he says, "Fine, come on, let's go.
"Wait, I didn't get my coffee yet!"
"We have to leave now, or we'll miss the flight!" I watch in thought, as the two people leave the shop.
"What happened to your suit?"
I shake my head and continue my work." I spilled the mocha. Can you make another one Aliyah?"
"Are you serious?" *pours milk. "Ok, there you go. Don't spill it!"
"Here you are, ma'am."
I walk to the front desk and tell my friend, Aliyah about the conversation.
"You seem so off right now Gliz, what's wrong?" "Did you see that handsome man and I guess his girlfriend?"
"Oh, yeah, the fake girlfriend, dude. You know there's a site for that. it's called Paid to Love. Pretty much you go on there and talk about your background, and wait until a rich man pays you to spend a holiday or a special day with him. No, I know what that face means."
"I really need money. My mom is not doing well, you know that. This would do so much for us."
*Sighs. "Where's your laptop?"
I smile as we sign up and wait.
"This is taking too long Aliyah!"
"Chill out, it's been no longer than thirty minutes. Give it time." *6 hours after.
*Ding "Did you hear Gliz? You have an email." I sprint to an empty table, leaving the dirty counters and read as fast as I can.
