Loud music was playing in the dance hall, and people were spinning in the dance, dispelling boredom.

Jung Hwa stood in the very corner of the hall, and his gaze scanned the surrounding people, searching for his goal.

Today he was more relaxed than usual, thinking that everything would go smoothly.

The man moved, noticing the target, but accidentally collided with one of the guests of the evening.

Red wine spilled on his silk kimono, and he hissed through his teeth.

"Be careful,"

The ears of the target picked up, noticing the man's encounter.

Jung Hwa tried to brush it off as if nothing had happened, but the anger burned inside him like a burning fire.

"Idiot," He hissed in his native language.

He turned away and continued towards his target, trying to remain inconspicuous.

His target turned around, making his way though the crowd gently.

He made it to a corridor, sliding behind one of the pillars .

He thought he had lost Jung Hwa for the time being...

But his ears picked up footsteps far too late.

Jung Hwa, approaching the target, slowed his pace, looking around, then noticed that the diplomat was hiding behind a column.

He approached the man silently, trying not to give himself away.

"What are you doing here?" The man hissed in a low voice, trying not to draw the attention of the nearby people.

The target jumped.

"Holy moondrip!" He almost screamed.

Jung Hwa did not expect such a loud reaction, but quickly controlled himself.

"Are you not ashamed to scream like a girl?" He said, but quickly realized he might have made a mistake with those words.

The man looked at the target with his sharp eyes and raised his brows.

The target frowned at his comment.

"Why in the blood moon were you following me?" He asked.

Jung Hwa did not expect this turn of events.

The plan was different, and the sudden change of scenarios caused the man to get lost for a moment.

"I...I just wanted to get to know you," He said, trying to think of a convincing-sounding lie.

"You could have just asked...You looked like you were on a mission to kill me-" The target half-jokes.

Jung Hwa had to control himself to hide the flash of annoyance on his face.

He remained calm, and a smile appeared on his lips.

"Oh why would I want to hurt you, dear gentleman?" He asked with a pleasant tone.

It seemed like the target did not seem to suspect anything, and did not take his words as a real threat, which is exactly what the spy needed.

"You can never be too careful these days..." The target commented.

"I know exactly what you mean,"

Jung Hwa nodded in agreement, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.

"Perhaps I disturbed you in the dance hall," He tried a new strategy in order to continue the conversation.

He realized that even the smallest mistake could ruin his mission, and he hoped the diplomat would not be offended.
