"Alright.Take this, and make sure that Pike doesn't see it." Derek handed methe control panel. "Alright. Get out of here before someonenotices." I exclaimed. "Understood. I'll be in the Monument ifyou need anything." Derek said while running off. "Anne, Sam,take care of these radio transmitters while I put away this panel."Sara remarked.

"Sam, can you handme that screwdriver beside you?" I asked. "Yeah. I hope you knowwhat your doing.." He said. "I absolutely do not." I repliedwith a chuckle. "We need to figure out what the Headmaster isplanning to do with this Missile." my Mother proclaimed. "I doubtit's anything good." Sam said in response. "Maybe he's using itto attack some other country." I said in faint sarcasm. "By now,I bet pretty much every other country in the world is destroyed. Whyelse would these people camp here instead of their home country."Sam said.

OneHour Later

Itwas getting dark outside, and we were nearly finished with theradios. Sara walked in to help us finish the last two. "You guysall set for tonight?" She asked. "Pretty much. All we have to donow is wait for strike time." I replied.

"Awesome. Do Ineed to go over the plan again?" Sara asked a final time. "No, Ithink we have it down pretty good." Sam responded. My mother noddedin agreement. Once we had the radios fixed up, we took the radioswith us, and went back to our room and shut the door. "Anne, Sam.Take these. Hide them in the drawers next to you." my Mother toldus. We took them from her and opened the wooden drawers that werefitted next to our beds. We put the radios in the drawer and shut it."Now, we wait for lights out." Sara said.

Wewaited for around 45 minutes before Pike waled through the door anddimmed the lights. He shut and locked the door without saying a word."We need to wait around an hour before we escape this hellhole, sowe don't raise any early suspicions. I had given Derek a radiotransmitter that was already fixed before he left, so we couldcommunicate with him.

Wesat and waited. With barely anything to do over the hour, we werepretty much mindless, until we received a radio message from Derek. Iopened the drawer and responded. "Derek. We are about to head out.If anything goes sideways, we will open the gates to the district andI need you to run as fast as you out of the barrier. Do youunderstand me?" I asked him over the radio. "Copy that." Heresponded.

"Alright." Samremarked looking out of the window. "It doesn't seem like anybodyis out there." he said. "Alright. Let's move." Sara said. MyMother grabbed a flashlight and attached it to her uniform. "Sara, can you pick the lock?" I asked eagerly. "I thought you'd neverask." She responded with a clear smile.

Sarahtook the pin out of her pocket and jammed it around in the keyhole abit before we heard the clicksound. She steadily opened the door trying to avoid a squeak. We swiftly andquietly moved down the stairwell. I had nearly tripped a couple oftimes because I didn't watch where I was going. I looked back behindat Sam and Mom to make sure nobody was left behind.

Wegot down the the bottom of the monument where all of the weapons wereheld. We all took one, but Sam kept looking, seemingly searching forsomething. "Sam, whats the hold up, we need to go!" I whispered.I saw his eyes glow up bright. I pointed my flashlight at the wall tosee the RPG That he had at the bunker. "Here we go again, oldfriend." He said with a smile. He took the RPG off of the wall andwe exited the building. Everything was pitch black, but we were ableto navigate due to the street lamps.

"Alright, try tomake as little noise as possible. We don't want to get caught."Sara commented. We made our way down the streets, swiftly. "Wecould take the rover.." Sam stated as we were walking down thestreets. "It's too loud. We would wake someone up." my Motherreplied. Eventually, without making a peep, we made it toPennsylvania Avenue. "Alright guys, remember the plan." Sarasaid. I took out the control panel from my vest, and powered it on.
