After taking only a few steps into the mousehole, the pitch black marble floor beneath their feet gave away and they fell speedily into a magical swirly portal of colours and an iridescent divider of translucency. (Y/N) and the Nutcracker glided until both of their bodies collided together, whilst they simultaneously landed in a frozen cave, and into the soft snow below. (Y/N) stood to her feet, her wide, round (Y/E/C) eyes scanning around their winter-like radius, her breath caught in her throat. It was absolutely breathtaking. Quite, yes."Whe-Where are we?" She asked airily, standing.
Tall icy poles decorated the bed of slippery snow as millions upon, millions upon, millions of miniscule snowy flakes sprinkled from fluffy clouds, glaciers were spread from all angles and razor sharp icicles hung low. In the far corner, lore statues glistened as sun beams danced off of the creations. (Y/N) took a cautious step closer, her left hand reaching out to stroke at the carved young man's smooth cheek. Next to him, a stiff upper-lipped chunky man with a bushy beard and crown was placed, and, to his right, a lanky middle-aged woman with a delicate face and tiara.
A...royal family? (Y/N) chewed on the sensitive skin of her lower lip, pondering.
Nutcracker muttered hastily as he grunted as she still looked around, awestruck, "We must have taken a wrong turn back there...", he trailed off quietly while he shook his head, looking from left to right, "Now where did my sword go?" (Y/N) spotted his long sword hilt glistening in the dim light of the sun from within the cave. She took reluctant steps to retrieve it. "Here, let me give you a hand," she pulled at the weapon, only to realise with a deep red blush that her previous statement was unintentionally made literal, for she held the Nutcracker's hand, still decently attached to his sword, "...uhm..." The Nutcracker chuckled sheepishly and scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed, "I apologise. That happens...a lot."
The two smiled at one another for a moment before the wind began to pick up tremendously. (Y/N) shivered against the sudden chill. Her long strands of (Y/H/C) hair blew from her face. Snow billowed through the opening of the cave, and a twinkle of little blue-white neon light flitted around the couple like nothing short of a holy halo. (Y/N) held her breath when the lightweight creature landed on her fingertip, "A...firefly?", one of the orbs drifted closer to her body. "No, a Snow Fairee." Upon closer exception, she noticed that it indeed was, a fairee, matching the appearance of a infant cherub. She almost 'awed' aloud, however last minute decided against it.
The little fairee fluttered up and scanned (Y/N)'s facial features, contrary to her more chubby and rounded, innocent looking ones, chittering about aimlessly. She then pulled at (Y/N)'s lace and satin sleeve, causing her to giggle lightly from deep within her throat. The fairee suddenly lost her not-so-tight grip and was sent flying into the Nutcracker's rock-hard chest, bending a clear mariposa-like wing. She looked up at the Nutcracker and started to chirp at him angrily. Laughing, he retorted, "Well, I am sorry. But, you should have been more careful." (Y/N) held out her open palm and the Nutcracker gently tipped the harmed fairee unto her hand.
"Here, we'll fix this right out!" She used her index finger and thumb to to flatten out her wings, the fairee flapped it a number of times before flying away with a huff.
The Nutcracker commented offhandedly whilst she kindly nursed the harmed fairee, "Hmm. Not so much as a Thank You. Now...to find a way out of here..." He and (Y/N) approached a towering wall of thick ice and their reflections looked back at them with expressions of worry and confusion. The Nutcracker smoothly drew his sword and attempted to smash against it multiple times, alas, to no avail, he growled in agitation, "These walls are solid ice!" Rough howling wind and snow particles began to billow in spiral around them as more and more Snow Fairees appeared from amongst unique flakes. The thinner fairees begun to dance in circles around a hesitant (Y/N) and the Nutcracker, with the littlest fairee tugging on the former's forefinger to get her to dance along. She bashfully stammered, "Oh, nooo...I -"
