That night, Ivy and Laurent ended up falling asleep exactly as they were. Laurent, in his business attire, and Ivy, in her towel. It got to a point where the feeling of being in each other's arms was comforting enough, so neither of them fought it. It was daylight, now, though, and Laurent was the first one awake out of the two.
His eyes fluttered lightly as the sunlight began to bleed through the window, the tiny rays of light darting towards his eyes directly. He didn't want to wake up, but he knew they had stuff to do today. Ivy had to go to school and Laurent wanted to see Larry. Being that he was late yesterday, he planned on seeing him once he got of work. If Ivy wanted to come with him, he would probably let her this time around. Her concern for Larry was definitely evident, and he didn't want to keep hiding from her what was going on. Maybe she could help him get through it emotionally; he sure as hell was lost on how to do it himself.
He also began to remember seeing Bryce yesterday, and he began to get a little angry. He knew he'd do whatever he had to make sure Ivy was good. Bryce was pretty bold to pop up at her school like that, and Laurent was grateful that Ivy knew him personally. She had more protection now and Bryce would be sure to tread carefully. Those type of men could hurt girls like Ivy, but couldn't stand up to men like Laurent.
Sighing, Laurent pushed that thought to the side, bringing his attention back to Ivy. He was wondering if he should wake her up; a part of him didn't want to, but another part knew if he didn't get her up, she'd sleep in.
Laurent hummed softly, finally ridding his body of his sleep. He lifted his head slowly, pushing his twists out of his face gently. He looked down at Ivy afterwards, smiling when he saw her curled into him. Her towel was still wrapped tight around her body, and her arms were stretched over his waist, her hand drooping lazily as she slept. Laurent raised a hand to her face, using his thumb to brush a few strands of hair out of her it. She looked so beautiful when she slept, and he knew he would never get tired of seeing that face in the morning. Her lips were parted slightly, and from them fell light snores that carried themselves around the room.
"My baby," he said in a hushed tone, leaning down a bit to press a sweet kiss to the skin on her neck. He inhaled her scent softly, a smile creeping onto his face as he pressed more kisses to her skin. She was super warm under his touch, the heat from her body melting into his lips with each kiss that landed.
Little by little, Ivy began to stir. It started as little twitches in her eyebrow, and now she was shifting her body until she was lying on her back. Laurent paused his movements, wondering if he was going to be able to see those pretty eyes of hers yet. Upon seeing that she was still asleep, he continued to kiss on her. He had more space now, allowing his tongue to slip out and wet the skin on her collarbone. That time, Ivy made a sound. Her eyes were still closed, but against his mouth he could feel the change in her breathing. What was once a steady rise and fall of her chest, were now quickened breaths escaping her lips.
She's awake.
Why is she quiet?
Am I bothering her?
Laurent peered up at her through his lashes, allowing his tongue to dart out again to see her reaction this time. When his warm, wet muscle touched her skin again, her eyes opened briefly before a whine escaped her lips, her head turning to the side. Her legs reacted as well, shifting a little under the sheets.
Is this turning her on?
"Ivy," Laurent called, bringing his lips up to her ear. "You awake, baby?"
Ivy whined in response, the sweet sound dripping off of her lips like honey. He didn't know what it meant, though. He watched her carefully, noting how she was slowly slipping back into her slumber. She kept stopping herself, fluttering her eyelids as if she were attempting to stay awake. Laurent hummed, bringing his lips to her ear. He kissed the spot just below her ear lobe, a groan escaping his lips when she moaned. He assumed he touched a sensitive spot ton her neck and he attacked that area again, flicking the tip of his tongue against it softly.
