CHAPTER ONE: IT'S JUST…….

JASON’S POV

I stared into the mirror looking at me. I've been staring for the past twenty minutes wondering if I'd be able to adapt to this new environment. I wondered if this new place would be the same as the foster homes I I have been to.

I started unpacking and my would be mum came into my room.

Permit me for saying ‘Would be’ because they agreed to foster me for a few weeks before I finally got adopted .

‘Are you okay'? She asked me calmly.

‘yes ma'am, I think I am’. I replied nervously

‘You don't need to be nervous dear, feel free, this is your home now and everything would go just fine’ she assured me.

I nodded in confirmation with doubts still in my mind.

I wondered if they had any child… I finally came to a conclusion that they didn't but I was totally wrong because some minutes later, a boy about my age, tall, muscular and handsome walked in with  earpods plugged tightly to his ears.

‘Uh…. Hii!’ I raised my hand and shone my teeth to greet him but he just rolled his eyes and started shouting..

‘Mum!! Mum!! Mum!!’ he screamed with disgust showing on his face.

Mum ran upstairs with fear in her mind. She thought something bad must have happened.

‘Who is this idiot ?!, I mean fool… where's he from, how did he get here and who is he?’

Turns out he is Gerald, the legitimate son of my foster parents and my soon to be step brother. From the look of things, we were same age, 21 and same height but he was more cute.

‘Calm down son, he's Jason, your half brother and we are his foster parents. We decided to adopt and luckily he was the one we picked’ Mum replied him while trying to calm him down but he exploded.

‘What the actual F**k? How , why, when? Why didn't you tell me about him’ Gerald asked angrily

‘We’re sorry son, just accept it the way it is’ Mum reassured him and left the room.

Immediately she left, Gerald came to me and pinned me to the wall.

‘We’re billionaires, just act like a house help around her because you don't get same rights as me…and if you try to act smart, I'll kill you, understand?’ He muttered these words into my ears and I nodded in fear.

He dropped my down, dusted his hands and walked out of the room.

‘By the way, go and  do the dishes in the kitchen downstairs’

I stared at him with no response

‘Now!!’ He screamed

I dropped all my things and went down to the kitchen.

I came to a conclusion that my days in this house would be so horrible.

I went to the kitchen and started doing the dishes. I got tired and sat down to take some rest. Soon enough, I heard a voice from behind me.

‘ Aren't you going to get up and continue washing?’ He asked me while folding his arms and resting on the kitchen door.

I gathered some courage and replied him

‘Hey hey!!, guess what… I'm not the F**king house help here, and if you don't know this, know it now, I have equal rights as you since your parents are my foster parents and why are you so heartless, I detest you’
