Short Comfort [GN!Reader x Eclipse]

So, management said that Sun and Moon had a little oopsie and needed to be repaired today. Meaning they needed a new temporary daycare attendant for the day. Fazbear Entertainment, being Fazbear Entertainment, dragged out an old, outdated, unused daycare attendant from the Parts and Service. They called this animatronic 'Eclipse'.

Once the animatronic placed it's gaze on you it decided that you deserved a nickname. you had then been dubbed as 'mouse'. You have no idea why. You were currently drawing with the kids, keeping them entertained and occupied, while Eclipse tried to settle a few kids in the sensory room.

"Hi Mouse," Eclipse said as he collapsed into your lap, clearly not used to taking care of kids.

"Hi Eclipse," You smiled down at him.

Eclipse's large nine foot body was mostly collapsed on the ground as his arms and head were flopped over your lap. He seemed way too lazy to attempt to get up, meaning you were stuck with a star animatronic on your lap for who knows how long. The children all seemed content with playing in their various play areas, meaning you had plenty of time to just chill for now.

It wasn't like you really wanted to do anything anyways. You were always more of a calm daycare attendant, like Moon. Sure you help out with a lot of the calmer kids, but you didn't have any patience with dealing with the energetic ones.

"Mouse, what year is it?" Eclipse asked you, looking up at you with his green coloured eyes.

You looked back at him confusedly, "What?"

"I've been shut off for so long I don't know the year." Eclipse replied as he slowly lifted his head off your lap so he could look at you properly.

"It's 20XX." You answered honestly.

"I've been shut off for twenty-two years..." Eclipse muttered as he laid his head on your shoulder.

"Awe, I'm sorry Eclipse," You stroked his back gently. "That must be hard for you."

"You have no idea," Eclipse closed his eyes. "How long will they let me be online..."

"I dunno." You replied honestly, "But I'll see if I can find a way to keep you online for a bit longer."

Eclipse smiled and nuzzled his face into your neck, hugging your waist tightly. "Thank you..." Eclipse mumbled.

You smiled warmly and gently and soothingly rubbed one of his rays, slowly making Eclipse fall asleep on your lap.
