Jaxson woke up in a cold sweat. He didn't know where he was or what he was doing here. He touched the left side of his head feeling bandages wrapped around it. Why would there be bandages on my head? He thought. He was in some sort of extremely uncomfortable bed with IV tubes attached to him. There was something else in the room, someone else in the bed opposite to him. The room was dark so he couldn't see anything and he didn't want to risk getting out of bed. His head was still throbbing and he was also still shaken from his dream.

When thinking back on it, he doesn't think it's a dream at all. Flashes of the past events speed through his head.

Markus and foster yelling at them

Him running off

Ryan then running after him

The loud thud that echoed when Ryan fell

Him then singing to Ryan's still form

The sirens

Then him jumping into the ambulance

Then nothing he couldn't remember anything after that. Wait, Ryan! Where was Ryan!?
His vision blurred and his head pounding. He pulled out his IV and hopped out of bed.
Almost falling. He stumbled around the room calling out for Ryan. He made his way over to the other bed and looked at the person in it.... It was Ryan sleeping softly. His chest rising and falling slowly. His face captured perfectly in a still rest.
Jaxson looking around curiously saw that he was wearing one of those awful long hospital gowns.
He then turned back to Ryan. looking at the peaceful expression on his face. Oddly he found it comforting watching Ryan sleep. Knowing he was at peace.

The lights then flashed on momentarily blinding Jaxson. He looks over and there stands a doctor and his mother. His eyes start to water as he stumbled over to his mommy. She embraces him in a bear hug, Spinning him around. Jaxson cries out. "MOM!!!" She cries out "JAXY BEAR!!! I WAS SO WORRIED!!" The doctor then looked at them in concern. "Ma'am I have to put your son back to bed." He says in a Texan accent.
"Okay doc whatever you have to do." She replied. The doctor marches Jaxson back to bed and his mommy comes over and tucks him in. Right as they are about to leave Jaxson catches his mom's arm. He whimpers out "mommy could you sing me the veggietales opening song please?" "Of course jaxy bear anything for my baby." She replied softly

She then started to recite his favourite song from when he was a little boy.
