He moved his way through the crowd, directing the two of you to a warmly lit bar counter. Taking a seat next to him on the stools, you took notice of the surroundings, including the two monsters cramped beside each other in the far corner against the wall. At closer observation, you smiled to see they were both women. Keeping your gaze hidden, you admired each of their unique beauty, almost captivated by how the reddish lighting glistened off their gowns, fur, and scales. One was a reptilian-looking woman, her bright yellow hair nicely complimenting her shiny green scales, the other, was a very well-groomed purple feline. A safe presence came over you knowing there was women nearby, watching over you.

Offering them a polite smile, you were instead greeted with hushed whispers and snickering among the two of them.

What's so funny..? You looked around, not noticing anything, particularly humourous, other than a few odd-looking monsters dressed in equally odd attires, but this was considered normal for them. So what could it be..? Suddenly, your heart sank at the familiar sounds of hushed words and giggles being swapped between the two of them. "Pfft... Yeah! And like, look at how short her snout is..!" One said, earning a few cackles between the two of them. "And like, not to mention how small and hairless she is..! Like, what kind of species even is that?! Kekekeke..." Watching them in the haze of watery eyes, you felt all the previous confidence you once had fade away.

Looking to Sans for words of defence, you frowned to see he wasn't paying attention, or even looking at you. All he seemed to care about was getting a drink. "Yo, Grillbz! Hurry up!" He impatiently sighed and tapped his fingers on the counter with a rhythmic speed.

You bit down on your lip, hoping that in your silence, he'd notice the cruel words being said about you by the two ladies. But nothing, not even a glance. While you tried to block out their voices, the sound of Sans' name being spoken quickly brought you to full attention.

"There's, like, no way she's with Sans."... "Yeah, there's like, no way someone as hot as him would be with someone like her." Now your sadness was replaced with anger. Looking up at the women, you opened your mouth to speak on your own behalf, mad at not just at them, but at Sans for not defending you.

Before you could get even one of your pathetic insults out, a massive hand suddenly held your face, turning your head to the side. A quiet gasp escaped your lips before Sans pulled you into a hard, but passionate kiss. Just as you made contact with him, all your senses heightened, along with the hot sensation of that accursed mark simmering against the material of your dress, causing a shiver of your sins to crawl on your back

"Don't be startin' fights 'ya can't finish, doll." He looked down at you with his fiery red eye lights, his expression sending you into a trance of fear and sexual desire. "What...?" A small chuckle escaped him as his expression softened slightly. "Ah... Don't tell me ya fuckin' liked that." You furrowed your brows at him, not attempting to defend yourself over true accusations. He laughed, turning to smugly smile at the two ladies, whose mouths were wide open in shock before moving in to kiss you once more. His hand fell off your face as he pulled away, giving a you few soft taps on your cheek. "You're such a freak." He spoke softly, shaking his head, acting jokingly disappointed.

You wanted to say something, you really did, but when you opened your mouth to speak, nothing came out. You felt a bit bad that you never had anything to add in somewhat "sweet" moments like these. Raising your gaze from your fidgety, nervous fingers, you noticed Sans' attention on you was already gone when the bartender aggressively placed his drink down with an irritated slam. Then you finally understood. It didn't matter if you said anything or not, because he wouldn't care either way. To see his attention be so easily taken away by something so insignificant as an alcoholic drink forced your heartbeat to painfully thump at a slow, and agonizing pace.

You could have sworn you meant a little more to him just a few moments ago.
