Jameson POV

I was sleeping calmly in my room when I got a call from Grayson...

"Jameson, you better get here Avery is.....Grayson do you ever wonder why your Grandfather never let you try out the Ferris wheel because you missed so much buddy.......Drunk in the wine cellar" said Grayson, Avery interrupting in the background.

Avery? Drunk? She never drinks I am the one who drinks in our relationship not her. Anyway, I got up My shirt was ruffled up because I was too lazy to take it off before I fell asleep. I raced downstairs into the cellar and saw Avery with a bottle of wine fighting Grayson's support.

"Grayson, I am not Drunk I can get to my room just fine...." She toppled over and would have fallen if I had not caught her.

"Jameson, she drained an entire bottle of wine and now she's started with that one....."  Grayson's arms were out protectively in case Avery fell again.

"Ok I'll take it from here," I said as I grabbed her from behind the knees and hosted her up.

"Heirees, will you please give me the wine bottle?" I asked her as I climbed up the stairs. "No can do, Hawthorne. I will hand it over to you after I am down with it" she said putting the wine bottle as far away from me as she could.

I pushed open her door and put her down. She fell against the wall for support if I hadn't caught her she would have damaged her skull. I kicked the door shut and started walking to her bed. She realized what I was doing and pushed me away.

"No Jameson, I have to finish this bottle I am not going to sleep even if you sleep with me," she said taking another swing of wine. Her body can't take that much she might have serious problems tomorrow.  I pulled the wine bottle away. She immediately went after it I held it up as high as possible.

"Jameson give it back," she said squirming trying to reach for it. "Heirees, even I don't drink this much you have to stop". She punched me hard and turned around.

"THE UNIVERSE KNEW HOW MUCH I LOVED MY MOTHER. THAT DID NOT STOP IT FROM TAKING HER AWAY FROM ME DID IT??" she finally screamed and turned toward her desk.

"Everywhere I look, I see her and it hurts Jameson, It hurts," she said trashing her desk.

"She doesn't have a grave, no memorial nothing....it's like she never existed.....she does not deserve that," she said as she turned she fell back against the wall. I caught her and we both sank to the ground. She finally stopped restraining her tears and cried. She cried hard griping my shirt to keep herself alive. My shirt was wet from her tears, but I didn't care. She was hurting and it felt like my heart just shattered.

"Heiress, drinking does not take away the pain, you have to face it," I said stroking her hair as she cried into my chest.

"I can't do it," she said trying to stop her tears but failing.

"Heiress I'm right here we'll face it together...." I told her staring into the depths of her hazel eyes.

"Promise?"

"Promise." She hugged me and wept silently for some time, she fell asleep. I gently woke her up...

"Heiress drink water before you go to sleep" I grabbed the bottle beside her nightstand. She fought me for a bit but then drank up and fell asleep in my arms.

I gently placed her on her bed took off her heels and changed her into her pj's. I was going to go back to my room but then I saw her shivering I couldn't help but stay, I hugged her as she adjusted herself against my chest and relaxed into a deep sleep.

I wasn't sure if she would remember what happened tomorrow but if she did and if it still hurt her I would be there with her to let her heal every step of the way.
