Chapter 2
Izuku was currently lying face-first in bed, exhausted. Telling his mother about today's events while eating dinner did nothing but add to the mental fatigue that plagued his mind. I know she's just worried about me, but I wish she would stop suggesting other jobs that I could try for. Rolling over in his bed he held his phone up, letting the light from his device illuminate him. Scrolling through his phone he stopped at a certain periwinkle-haired girl's name. She did say to message her soon. Nervous but desperate for an escape from his thoughts, his fingers tapped across the screen.
Izuku
Hey, this is Izuku Midoriya. We met at U.A. earlier today.
He swiftly brought his phone to his chest, a bright blush visible even in the dimly lit room. I can't believe I actually messaged her, he thought, his mind swirling with worry. I hope she doesn't think I'm weird, just as he was sinking deeper into his thoughts, the sudden buzz off his phone snapped him back to reality, a mixture of anxiety and anticipation rushing through him.
Nejire <3
Hey! I was wondering when you would message me.
What are your plans for the week? I'm excited to get our training started!
Izuku
I don't really have anything planned. I usually work out every morning and have a rest day on Sunday.
Nejire <3
Perfect, meet me in front of U.A. at noon 2 days from now. I know a great spot to begin your training!
Izuku
Sounds good Senpai, I'm looking forward to your assistance!
Nejire <3
I'll see you soon!
Izuku rolled over to his side still looking awestruck at his digital screen, powering off his device and closing his eyes. He listened to his pounding heart threatening to break out of his chest, he couldn't help but look forward to his next meeting with Nejire.
The sun's rays hugged Nejire with a warm promise that today would be a good day. Despite it being the middle of winter, the weather was the perfect balance of hot to cold, missing Japan's usual sticky humidity. With a carefree smile, she was making her way to U.A. for a training appointment she planned with a shy yet powerful Junior she met a few days prior. Alright Nejire this is your first time helping a Junior, I need to show him how trustworthy his Senpais are! She mentally cheered herself on.
As she came closer to U.A.'s gate a familiar sight of messy green hair became visible. Moving into a slight jog, raising her hand above her in a wave. "Midoriya-Kun did you wait long?" Her bubbly voice was sickly sweet to the young greenette. With a slight jump, Izuku turned around to greet her.
Once again, the sight of her did horrors to his heart rate, dressed in simple leggings with a tracksuit top to match was certainly a treat for his eyes. "N-no I just got here H-Hado-Senpai," replied Izuku fighting against the blush already painting his face. "What are we d-doing for training?"
He reminds me of Tamaki, a small smile adorned her face as she recalled first meeting her anti-social and shy friend. "Let's head into U.A., I've already received permission for us." Giving Izuku a small push she signaled for him to follow.
