It was a Friday morning and I had woken up earlier then usual, so I decided to get a mocha before class, I'm not a big coffee fan, so this is the next best thing.
I'm going to one of my favourite coffee shops that's hidden in an alleyway, like most coffee shops in Melbourne.
As I walk through the open shop front, something seems different, like everyone isn't as happy today. "Hey, what's up with everyone today?" I ask as they make my usual.
"Morning, just some kid was causing trouble last night as we were closing up, he just wouldn't leave and he was messing with James, you know, suggesting things." Kim says, passing my my drink.
"Sexual things?" I gape.
"Yup, while his friends just stood and watched." She says with a frown, obviously thinking about the whole ordeal.
"Idiots" I shake my head.
"I know right, he's at home right now, the manager gave him the weekend off as well."
"Thank god, I'd better go."
"Have fun in literature, you pretentious little shit," She calls after me.
I let out a loud laugh and turn the corner, running into someone accidentally.
"Oh shit, sorry!" I blurt out automatically.
The man just stands there and smirks at me, leaning against the wall, arms crossed. "That's alright, babe."
I smile awkwardly and hurry around him. There was just a way he said that that sent a shiver up my spine.
As I hop on a tram I can't help but think about what Kim said about the events that occurred last night.
So... that was a bit different to what I usually write. I don't know, I'm just giving it a go, it's going to get a lot better and this chapter will (hopefully) make a lot more sense.
